I liked it a bit better than Evil Dead, actually...
But a scene is missing! Every review makes a point of mentioning the intestines looking in the mirror, but, at least on this tape, that never happens. You just see a few seconds of it grabbing at the guy's leg out of nowhere and then it goes right to the attic scene.
The rat monkey was cute. Stupid old bitch.

Well, I don`t know. You sure you saw the uncut version? Though it would be weird if they cut that out. Maybe they thought that fart was too offencive to some people. All the other things were there though? lawnmower mayhem? the custard (sp?) scene?

I liked this film and agree it is at least as good as Evil Dead, as long as that is the only missing scence I shouldn't worry its not that important and dosen't add that much to the film. Its been a while since I last saw this film I reallt should watch it again.

it puts evil dead to shame for me easily. it's a lot more funny and a lot more gory.

Actually, judging from screenshots, I got a shortened version of the custard part as well. Jumped from a super-quick shot of blood spurting from her bandage to the slightly bloody spoonful going in his mouth.
Neither is a big deal, yeah, but there's probably more missing that I don't know about simply because they aren't talked-about scenes. Lawnmower fight seemed pretty damn gory but it did kinda jump around, it was probably shortened too.
Ah well, I still enjoyed it thoroughly.

I find Dead Alive to be better than Evil Dead but not better than Evil Dead 2. Dead Alive is one really gory and funny flick. Kinda hard to believe that Peter Jackson who once made this would go on to making pg-13 fantasy films like Lord of the rings.

I prefer Bad Taste, but this is definitely choice splatter. PJ is God.

Since we are comparing...Ill take Evil Dead over Dead Alive, Simply for the "horror" factor. ED was scary, DA isnt.
That said, Dead Alive is ONE GREAT MOVIE! It is right up there with the classics and a movie I am proud to infest mt friends with,
On a side note....I felt that Bad Taste was boring after the first 10 mintues, minus one "cliff" scene.
