View Full Version : Movie Plex sucks

This channel is a travesty to a movie-based network. In their words "MOVIEplex never shows R-Rated movies and PG-13 movies are only shown in the evenings." This ensures that these movies can be enjoyed by 'everyone,' so everyone can be happy little wuss.

Sundays are the worst. If you happen to be flipping through the channels, and something lame catches your attention, chances are it's a sunday afternoon on movieplex. Sundays are specifically designed to be "teens" day. Like a bunch of 14 year old kids are at home waiting in joy for their favorite show to come one this channel. They have a program with these two little assholes who talk about recent movies, etc. Neither of them would know a good movie if it ran up and kicked them in the balls. It's funny that a few times they will even mention R-rated movies, even though you know that no one who watches that network has ever seen anything decent :D

Next I speak of "The Tribe." This show makes a sci-fi channel original look like Citizen Kane. It's about a bunch of nitwit kids running around in a post-apocalyptic urban neighborhood. There are two problems, magically it seems, electricity, computers, and the internet seem to all work despite this being a post-apocalyptic world, and the costumes were designed by a retarded monkey. And I think it's quite possible that the very same monkey is head of the writing department. I had the discourse of sitting through the last ten minutes of this show, and it was worse than that time I got caught in an air duct (don't ask). Somehow it seems that the only people who were killed in the apocalypse happened to be everyone on the planet over the age of 15. Why every character has to have blue hair I'm still trying to figure out.

In short, I will soon be contacting my local cable provider to tell them to either take this off my cable, or send someone over to stab me in the eyes:eek:

This channel is co-owned by CAPAlert so they can get money for Decency™. In other words, no R movies and only a few PG-13s. Soon they will own all channels and kill every TV show higher than a light TV-PG.

They are trying it with cinemas, though this is taking longer.

No, no, I take it back. Their worst show is Young Hercules. And the saddest part of that is, Sam Raimi is actually involved in it...The show doesn't make any sense, I tell you!

Yes, lyrik. Sarcasm can be easily detected over the internet, especiallly seeing as there is no hint at how speech is emphasized:D

Besides, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if the guy at CAPAlert ever did get his own channel, you know it would be just like this...movieplex is owned by Encore, anyway...but they suck:D

CAREFUL! You're Cableman could be Angela Baker from Sleepaway Camp!

"You should apologize."

"I'd rather DIE, Angela!"

-Angela reaches into the backseat of her car.-

"What are you doing, getting a gun?"

"Nope... A DRILL!"

Actually, I kind of like MoviePlex. Despite showing "family friendly" programming most of the time, I catch a couple rare movies on there I haven't been able to find anywhere else. I taped the great THE LAST OF SHEILA last year, and they usually have good thrillers and such.

I watch Movie Plex on Wednesdays for some good Westerns. I guess its called Western Wednesdays and they show some good ones, like Rio Bravo, El Dorado, The Sons of Katie Elder and stuff such as this. Tis fun, but thats my only use fro Movie Plex.
