Wow, never thought it'd come to this. From Yahoo Movies (http://movies.yahoo.com/news/ap/20031027/106730412000.html):

Actor Tom Sizemore was sentenced Monday to six months in jail and three years probation for abusing his ex-girlfriend, former Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss.

The actor first will go through drug rehabilitation. Judge Antonio Barreto Jr. said he would consider reducing the sentence to 90 days if Sizemore can show at a Jan. 30 hearing that his court-ordered counseling for drugs, anger and domestic violence are working.

Prosecutors had requested a 1-year sentence.

Sizemore, who appeared in "Black Hawk Down" and "Saving Private Ryan," apologized in a letter, saying "personal demons" had taken over his life. "I am very chastened by the trial and my convictions," he wrote.

The judge said that drug abuse may have been a catalyst in the abuse but that trial testimony revealed a man with deep problems dealing with women. Messages left on Fleiss' answering machine were so vicious "it's almost impossible to perceive," Barreto said.

He also ordered Sizemore to stay away from Fleiss.

Fleiss, contacted by phone Monday, called Sizemore "a zero." The two were together for about two years.

He's a celebrity, so while it does surprise me that for once a celeb actually got what was coming to them, I expect an early parole.

Bout time someone actually gets punished for doing wrong, instead of getting off the hook thanks to the 'celeb factor' *coughsWINONAcoughs*

The man needs more psychological help then jail time (he was datign Heidi Fleiss). Buuuut then again, he won't serve the whole sentence and I'm sure he'll get past this.

I suppose it's better than being a she-pimp, Heidi!

Maybe Tom smacked her around because she talked smack like this to him all the time. :D :p

My best wishes go out to Sizemore.

He got what he deserved....still got off lightly (IMO), but i guess thats pretty much par for the course.

"I am very chastened by the trial and my convictions,"- oh please. i'm going to be sick...reeks of an attempt to save a little face and grab a bit of a sympathy vote.
good thing i dont have a heart, really ;)

Never condoned violence against women (or men, as it goes) but Fleiss would certainly be near the top of my list (if I ever compiled a list - which I have). Sizemore, in interviews, seems an okay guy, but you sense there is something beneath the surface at all times, so to her this news is neither surprising nor entirely unexpected. Good luck to him, I guess, but when you lift your hands to a woman, well, tough shit - it should come back to you a thousand times.

This is sad to me. I hope he gets help and better because he's always been an actor I've admired (for his acting only, obviously).

Thats a bummer. I like him as an actor, but there is no excuse for being abusive towards women. Hopefully the time spent in prison will wise him up.

I wouldn't want to be the first badass wannabe to try to buttfuck Tom under the shower. Don't go there, girlfriend...Tom'll cut your dick off and feed it to the dogs!

I'd crack a joke, but ya know. Tom Sizemore is probably one of the most talented actors working today, he's a brilliant actor. I give him the best of luck.

I agree... I like Tom Sizemore as an actor. However, I do not condone abusing women. Oh Yeah...I'd thought he would have better taste than that... I can't believe that he's hooked up with her. Then again...it is Hollywood.

If Janet Jackson could date Jermaine Durpri...then yeah...ANYTHING is possible! LOL:rolleyes:

it's good to see that not all actors get away with everything...
