What to you mean dangerous ?
Do you mean the actors were in danger or what ?
I really don't see any horror movies that could have been dangerous for the actors.

I would say Funny Games from Michael Hanneke was venenous.

I was thinking of "Funny Games" myself. I've never looked at Pete Sampras the same way again.
I'm going to have to check some of the movies on the list out. "Last House on the Left" should definitely be on there (the scene where the girl pees herself is not faked).
I thought "Happiness" was an interesting perspective, don't know if I felt it was dangerous exactly. Hey, child molestors are people too, I guess.
I never saw "Kids" but I love the soundtrack. "Don't give me no dry food, I need that wet stuff."
Do you suppose you can pick up "Salo" or "Cannibal Holocaust" at the Best Buy? I'm TV shopping later...

How many are we allowed to pick from? Because I've seen tons of em. Here's a few although there are way more.
Salo
Men Behind the Sun
August Underground
Squirmfest
Red Room
Naked Blood
Kichiku
Like I said, too many others to list. These were just ones that immediately came to mind.

Salo's on criterion and has been OOP for a while. You'd be very lucky to find a copy of it. Cannibal Holocaust recently got a rerelease didn't it? Or was that cancelled....

Damn, a quick internet search turned up a VHS copy of Cannibal Holocaust for $59.99 and a VHS copy of Salo for $295.00!!!!
Screw that, there's no movie I want to see that badly.

I found my VHS of Cannibal Holocaust on ebay a couple years ago for something like $15 or $20. I got Salo pretty much free when I started trading dubs of rare movies.

I agree that Last House On The Left is a very sick and twisted movie. I wonder why i love it so much.
I Spit On Your Grave was much more sick and twisted, i wonder how they got away with making it.

A Clockwork Orange was literally dangerous - Stanley Kubrick banned it in the U.K. because of copycat murders.

I thought Kubrick banned it for the FEAR of copycat murders, which still makes no sense to me.
Why would Kubrick make a movie only to call for it to be banned in his home country? I've always figured there was more to this story. I imagine that it was going to be banned anyway, and Kubrick was encouraged to go along with the ban, possibly to keep the ability of making movies in the UK.
Just a guess though, I'm talking out my ass.

"The only film banned by its own director was A Clockwork Orange (GB 72) which Stanley Kubrick withdrew from circulation in Britain following a spate of copycat crimes based on the violent outragesshown on screen... Strangely, Kubrick did not seek to ban the film in other countries, despite similar outbreaks of violence attributed to it... It was only in March 2000, a year after Kubrick's death, that A Clockwork Orange was re-released in Britain."

Screw the kids.
Real danger lies not beneath youth corrupted or stolen, but behind the unexpected occurence which halters adult life.

I have the criterion of Salo, but the movie is horrible.

I own both Cannibal Holocaust and Salo'. I am debating whether to buy Man Behind the Sun. I'm really curious to see it, but it's supposed to be worse than any of the others. I sure as hell don't want to see the cat scene.
I am really interested in getting my hands on August Underground and it's predecessor now that I've read so much about both of them here.
Note regardiing Salo' and CH: If a movie like Clockwork Orange messes with you, you have no business watching either of the former. Clockwork Orange is mainstream Hollywood compared to both these nasties!!

I am expecting August Underground Mordum this week and look forward to seeing that atrocity for myself. I own Men Behind the Sun (found it at a local store no less) and it is truly a harsh experience. Better make a day for that one because it will fuck you off your feet and you'll need some serious recovery time. Yeah, that cat scene is one of the most horrific sequences I've ever seen, and I've seen Salo, Cannibal Holocaust, August Underground, and the Traces of Death series, etc. Very unpleasent to watch.

Do you have anything to trade, jpman2112? I don't sell videos due to copyright issues but I do make trades. If you'd like I can set you up with all of those movies (be warned of course).

I forgot to say that I trade dubs of my movies. not originals due to their rarity. And I know this sort of post belongs in the BUY/SELL category so be gentle with the ruler, moderator!:D

Traces of Death series - all real and contains a sex change operation shown in graphic detail.
Last House on the Left - Watched it a few days ago and it still hasn't left my mind. Very disturbing. The scene where the girls are forced to strip and makeout with each other by Krug and his gang looked so damn realistic.
A Clockwork Orange - very weird film filled with multiple rape scenes that come off as humorous.
Scrapbook - sick beyond words.
Caligula - hardcore sex mixed with explicit violence. Holy Shit!

I don't know if anybody here wants to see Men Behind the Sun so I'll just say a few quick things and you can decide for yourself.
First off, don't expect this to entertain you. It's based on a true story so anybody that gets some kind of pleasure from it is unbalanced. It's got a reputation for being one of the world's most extreme movies for a reason. It totally deserves it. From what I hear, when they premiered this in China, nobody in the theater knew what it was and most people couldn't finish watching it. The ones that did were in a state of shock. So for anybody that thought Cannibal Holocaust was harsh, then BEWARE! This is no picnic.

I watched Cannibal Holocaust last night and was amused to find out I'd seen it before, when I was bout 12 years old (this was sadly about 20 years ago)...
I lived in a small town and there was a guy who had a van full of VHS tapes, so when one of my buddies' parents would take off for a night, we'd call him up. He'd rent anything to anyone.
I discovered most of my favorite 70's flicks thanks to that guy.
Weird thing is that I was a lot more disturbed by Cannibal Holocaust last night, at 34, than I was at 12, when only the machete/penis scene really got to me.
