Actress Halle Berry is fuming after movie bosses axed her plans to make a film based on the character she played in James Bond movie Die Another Day. The Oscar-winning screen star played sexy CIA agent Jinx in the movie alongside 007 Pierce Brosnan, and was desperate to portray the character again in a franchise of spin-off action films. But now the project has been spectacularly canceled by studio chiefs, much to the disgust of the 37-year-old actress. An insider says, "Halle is absolutely furious. She thought she was going to become the female James Bond in a series of films. Now it's been canceled with little explanation." Executives at MGM made the decision over the weekend and have instructed Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson to stop developing the movie.

who cares? Jinx was a horrible character anyway and fully undeserving of this spin-off.

Why would she be fuming? Less off of her plate at the moment.
It wouldn't surprise me if the bond producers/MGM saw the catwoman photos and paniced. They would be enough to put most people off doing a similar film with the same star imo.

My best guess is that more people are wondering about the future of the Bond series and who's going to take over the role next. I'd guess that'd be MGM's top priority, to plan out the future of their best franchise, rather than get a shaky new one off the ground.

It's nothing against Halle or nothin', but c'mon...a Bond Girl spin-off?
The simple idea sucked both monkey and donkey balls from the start. The guy who axed the project made the world a better place to live in, period.

I really can't say much about this, as I did not see DAD, but I'm pretty sure those Catwoman photos have something to do with it.

When will she figure out she was just another bond babe, I wouldnt see her crappy Jinx character when other Bond Women have deserved a character too in their own spinoffs and not just a one night stand of Mr Bond.

Tis a great day for Hollywood. The fact anyone would've even considered a spin off of a Bond girl is pretty useless itself, and if they were going to give any Bond girl a spin off, it'd need to be Pussy Galore

Halle needs to focus on other things... For instance: her personal life. As beautiful as she is ...she can't seem to keep a man.
I am not fond of the idea (Jinx spinoff movie) and I understand why it got axed.

That spinoff would probably contain the most sexual references ever in a film.
