Since we have similar topics honoring our favorite movie dads and brothers, I thought it was time to give the moms their props.
FAVORITE MOVIE MOM
M'Lynn Eatenon (Sally Field) in STEEL MAGNOLIAS
LEAST FAVORITE MOVIE MOM
Norma Bates (Olivia Hussey) in PSYCHO IV: THE BEGINNING
I was going to vote for Faye Dunaway's Joan Crawford incarnation from MOMMIE DEAREST as my least favorite mother character, but decided to go with an iconic fictional character instead.

I don't think her Linda Partridge character had any children (or at least it wasn't mentioned). Moore's Amber Waves character in BOOGIE NIGHTS was desperately trying to win back custody of her estranged son.

Oh, come on. She doesn't let her daughter bring home records or kiss boys, she lies to her son about his age..."Then it was celebrating Christmas on a day in September when you knew it wouldn't be commercialized."
Sorry Fanny-Annie, this mom just aint hip. :)

She's not perfect, but, I dunno...I've always thought she was a pretty cool mom.
