Ringu sequels(just a question)

Since I'm a huge fan of the original and was pleasently suprised with the Americanized remake, I was just wondering if any of you fellow schmoes have seen any of the sequels and what your thoughts were of them...to see if it's worth my while to get a import copy or not. Thanks for your help!!

every1 seems to have different opinions on the other ring films. alot really like part 2 and i thought it was abit crap, and alot of people seem to hate ring 0 and i though it was superb.

I liked part 2. Really spooky. And part 3 paid off the people who waited to hear Sadako talk. I've also seen Rasen (alternate part 2 based on the novels), Ring Virus (from South Korea), and Ring: KanzenBan, which was the original made for TV movie.
My favorite of all these is probably good ol Ringu 2 though.

I thought Rasen was creepy, but as a sequel the real Ringu 2 is better.

Ive only seen Ringu 2, as all ive read about Ringu 0 is mainly bad

id place part 2 nearly on the same level as the first film, although its not as scary, the acting is just as good and it contains many great scenes and is well worth watching if you liked the original

give ring 0 a chance. i thought it was amazing esp the ending.

Ringu 2 was superb. There are a couple of scenes (one in particular) that come close to equalling the end of the first movie for chills. However, I was very tired when I saw it and started to doze a bit during the last ten-fifteen minutes. I really need to see it again to form a conclusive opinion. I've yet to see the prequel and I probably won't see Rasen unless it comes on the TV.

I just saw pieces and bits of 0 but I saw 2 about three times, it's my favorite Ringu!

I like the whole trilogy. I thought Ringu 2 had a weaker story than Ringu with all of the scientific mumbo jumbo, but has much better scares. The interview still gives me the chills.

Ringu 0 is slow moving and not really scary until the ending. It is a lot like Carrie, where Sadako is actually a main characater instead of a scary ghost.

And as a bonus, the Ringu novel is pretty good at explaining what is going on with the Sadako character including how and why she kills people. However, I prefer the cinematic ending. I'm looking forward to the novel sequels, Rasen and Loop.

Well, goes to show how little I know about this series... 0 sounds very interesting and I had no idea that there were novels based around this movie. I just got my copy of Ringu 2 and agree that it is just as good as the 1st one. Thanks for your help, guys!
