So I'm here with a friend of mine who I don't usually watch movies with. I seem to forget WHY I watch these movies with my friend...

<cue in doomsday music>

Until now...

It's about 15 minutes into 28 DAYS LATER and I have been asked the following... [very minor spoilers]

"Oh, it's a monkey. Why are they tying up that monkey?"

[there's a gutted monkey] "Woah, is that monkey dead?"

"Rage? Rage is an infection?"

"Why is that dude in a hospital?"

"Where is everybody? Is he all alone?"

"That's not one of the guys in the beginning, is it? How did he survive?... Oh, he isn't one of those guys in the beginning, then?"

[reading a quote] "... What? 'Extremely fucking nigh'? What do they mean by that?"

"Why are all those people dead in a church?"

I answer, "Because they all wanted to try and become closer and more faithful to God before they died."

"Yeah, but why are they in a church?"

"so then they go after people and aren't intelligent about it?"

Answer: Yeah, they just blindly attack without much thought or pretense.

"Yeah, so that aren't very intelligent about it then, are they?"

Something tells me this is going to be a long FUCKING NIGHT!!!

So please, if you're one of those people who can't sit and watch a movie without getting instant gratification on what's going on at all times, PLEASE try to be quiet for a while and figure out what's going on by LISTENING to what everyone is saying in the movie, and figuring things out as the movie progresses.
That would make people like me very happy!

And BTW this isn't even in a movie theater, and when it's in a movie theater it's about 50x worse. DON'T DO IT DURING A LOCAL THEATER PRESENTATION AT ALL!

Love,

Kc

Thank you.

I only asked 2 questions during that film:

"Why is Danny Boyle's latest so disappointing and unscary? Why can't I just magically transform the print into a good horror film, like Cabin Fever?!"

Dont blame you there. I need silence while watching a movie. Maybe some general chat but nothing much. My brother irritates me with his blabberings. And what about watching a movie with a few people, one turns to another and starts having a totally unrelated conversation?

Some people just don't respect movies

OOOOOO I HATE it when people talk during movies. The worst though is when they come in halfway through the movie, plop their butt down on the couch next to you, and ask you to fill them in on everything that happened before they decided to interrupt.

Well doesnt 28 Days Later take place in England? I myself can adapt to any movie any backdrop if what's goin on catches my intrest. I have been around people who yak yak yak to movies that don't take place in the U.S. or tune out. I'll do my best to explain to them but if it's a constant problem.

Retards are like that. What's worse is watching a film you've really been wanting to see, while your friend(s) think it's Mystery Science Theater 3000 hour.

One of my friend's girlfriends came along with us to watch Freddy Vs. Jason, and although it was my second viewing, everytime she squealed her whiny ass voice with some stupid remark, I wanted to smack her across the nose with a stick and say "No."

Yeah I hate that too. Another thing is when they drink too much and they want you to push PAUSEon the DVD player cuz they gotta go take a whiz. Every 5 minutes...

Some advice...avoid drinking Budweiser or any other piss generator during a movie.

Another pet peeve of mine is when I'm watching a kick ass movie and the phone or doorbell rings and it turns out to be there wrong number or wrong address. Uggh!

I was watching U-571 at the cinema and about fifteen minutes in, after the Nazis, in Nazi uniforms, on a Nazi submarine, draped in the swastika, began speaking German, the genius next to me turned to his friend and said "are they Nazis then?"
