It seems like a lot of NFL players are doing commercials these days. But I've noticed that maybe they're a curse?
Look at the Pizza Hut commercial, there's Rich Gannon and Michael Strahan. Both teams of these players have had very dismal seasons so far, after having high expectations. Both teams made the playoffs last year and were expected to return strong this year.
Donovan McNabb is in a ton of Soup commercials these days, and the former Pro-Bowler has had a terrible season, as has his team. The Eagles were among the NFC favorites at the start of the year.
Then there's Brian Urlacher who also does the Soup commercials, and deodorant commercials.... he plays for the Bears. Need I say more? :D
So, is it bad luck for NFL players to do commercials?
