What scenes in a movie created the most tension in your opinion?

IMO:

Joy Ride - the climax

The Fog - the whole movie

Halloween - Michael Myers stalking Laurie Strode

Phone Booth - almost the whole movie

Jaws - the opening (the rest of the movie, while I kind of liked it, didn't even approach this scene in tension level, IMO)

The Mexican standoff in Reservoir Dogs comes to mind.

I'd have to agree with Syxxpac and therealjohng that the Mexican stand off in Reservior Dogs. Now that's a tense situation if I've ever seen one!
