View Full Version : Don't Feed The Trolls

We've all done it at one time or another (heck, I've even done it one or twice...) but as Jo always says, don't respond to message from trolls, just report them to the mods so that they can close the threads. There are at least two persons posting in the General Movie Talk forum who got exactly what they wanted -- responses and to see their name online. Remember: When it comes to trolls, just say NO.

I'd agree generally, but sometimes it's good stress relief to bash a Troll. Like now.

Sometimes trolls get into my pantry and I have to break out the Bug-B-Gone. They always go after the Cheetos and I have to get a new bag which is irritating because I become emotionally attached to each bag of sweet, delicious Cheetos. I sometimes like to bury my cheetos in the backyard when they're all gone or when the trolls get to them. Sometimes the trolls are in my bathroom tub and I turn on the water to get them all down the drain. This sucks because I shower in the mornings and i'm pressed for time. It takes a minute or two to get them all down...

Well...Why can't we just post in the topic AND report it to a mod? Oh, I'll shut up for once.

Lads, lads...let's divert ourselves onto topic, eh?
This is a valid point, reporting things to Mods is always the best way to go...don't worry, this isn't Kindergarten, you won't get in trouble for tattling

Just to clarify, I am safe in assuming that a "Troll" is someone specifically looking to cause trouble on the boards, and not a small elvish creature that apparently lurks in Sugar Magnolia's pantry?
If it is the former, I must admit I usually dont report troublemakers, cause I figure that some of the older schmoes have already done this, and I dont want to take up any of the mod's valuable PM space.

That's NOT true. If everybody just assumes someone else has already reported it, then the issue won't be taken care of. Please, please, PLEASE report it as soon as you see something bad going on! LOL, take up the mod's valuable PM space? That's out job hon, to make sure everybody's following the rules!

Trolls get on my back porch all the time, but mama just scares 'em away with a broom.

So would my cellmate, Bubba. The gift that keeps on giving, I'm afraid.

Once again, I find myself agreeing with Lynn. This is what I try to do most of the time. Sometimes I just have to remember to report it first. Sometimes I do forget.

Well, replying and reporting is a fair compromise, I guess. As long as you report it, we can do our jobs, and that's really all that matters.
