I stole this poll from imdb. I was just curious what the schmoes thought. Which of these recent horror flicks most deserves to be a classic? My pick is The Others, but The Ring and Frailty are not far behind. Somehow I accidentally voted for 28 Days Later.

Out of the list, I'd say Frailty (8.5/10)

Nothing on that list gets more than 6/10 from you? Not a horror fan?

Nah, because Signs is the most likely to be a classic in my mind. It was a huge success and has all the elements of a director who may be the next Spielburg.

Oh. Well I was going more for what you think most deserves it, but I see what you are saying.

Yeah, that is kinda what I think deserves it, because I do like the director, but not the film. Aren't I great?

Second place: It's not on the poll but I think Willard deserves mentioning, it will become a great cult classic some day. :)

The more AJ Hakari pimps it, the more people will know about it.

None of them deserve the 'Classic' status. If anything though, Signs would get it.

SIGNS. I think in a few years, maybe 10 years or so, people will realize what a true genre classic it is.

Signs. What a brilliant movie. Much better than Shyamalan's first hit, The Sixth Sense.

Oh, though I wouldn't exactly call it a "Horror Masterpiece", I think Dog Soldiers should be on this list, kick ass film.

Frailty's the best film there, but I think Signs and Final Destination will become classics in their own right, just for being a little different and more memorable. I would say Ringu, but I think that's already a classic.

"Frailty", "The Others" and "28 Days Later..." spark me as future classics for generations to come.

Its definitely The Ring

I dont consider Frailty and Signs (while better movies) to be horror.

I also think 28 Days Later wasnt all that horror-ey, more of a thriller w/a lot of thought-provoking fun.

But The Ring was pure horror.

Their all crap except for Signs, Frailty and The Others.

The best horror movies in the last 10 years, though, are Ringu and Dark Water, both from Hideo Nakata.

I agree. Willard is a classic, but since it isn't on there, I vote for The Others, one of the only original ones on there that are scary.
