2 months ago I would have said Magnolia without even having to think, but I have grown to like Boogie Nights just a wee bit more. For me, it's like this:

Its a toss-up between BOOGIE NIGHTS and MAGNOLIA, but I ultimately voted for BOOGIE NIGHTS, since I felt that it was a more complete film (much like David Lynch's BLUE VELVET as compared to WILD AT HEART or MULHOLLAND DRIVE).

Overall, the P.T. Anderson Report Card goes as follows:

I was skeptic to see Punch-Drunk Love, but it definitely was one of P.T.'s best - way to showcase an actor's potential as something other than having roles w/ consistent frat boy humor (not that its a bad thing...)
