Now that the Matrix series as we know it are no longer upcoming films, what will happen sooner or later when they are no longer current films?

I was just thinking the same thing myself, Jon. Can I call you Mr. Hyde from now on...
For obvious reasons ;)

Dont forget the end of the year when Return of the King comes out.
Im sure they'll just change it so Matrix and LOTR isnt there anymore.

Can't we just keep them there so we can discuss the movies? We don't have to get rid of them.

Good question. I guess that the posts will be simply moved to the main Upcoming Movies forum, where nearly all of them will disappear among the older threads.

Maybe it can all just be moved into the General Forum and be up at the top like the Foreign Movie section.

You guys think the Matrix series is over...

Good point. THE MATRIX and LOTR forums will likely no longer need to remain open, so what OTHER SERIES do you guys think deserve their own sub-forums in our UPCOMING MOVIES forum??
I will be opening another thread in this forum next week that will include a POLL with all the different films that I believe might be worthy of a shot, so give me some movie franchises that you think might want to include......

I think there should be an upcoming remakes/sequels sub-forum. Not exactly a specific franchise, but I think it could get some good buzz.
Or maybe a Bond one?
These are off the top of my head, so be careful with the bashing.

Spider-Man?
Pirates of the Caribbean?
The Series of Unfortunate Events?
His Dark Materials?
Bond?
Annie Hall

X-Men
and
James Bond
Seem most deserving to me. Though, something tells me that Bond could quickly turn into one big STD chat...

Surely space will be needed for the upcoming, POLICE ACADEMY-like GIGLI franchise.

Superhero - This isn't an individual series of movies, but in the future there will be ten million and one threads about the various upcoming comic book movies.
Pirates Of The Caribbean - Seems like there are going to be at least two more sequels, and they are sure to generate lots of threads due to the huge popularity of the first one.
Bond - Because it's one of the most popular series of films of all time, and it will continue far into the future.

SPider man
and Xmen fo sho.
Since they are mainly the big SERIES of this new era.
Whoever said Bond..... must..... kill.. Come on guys Bond is not worthy.
Batman? Superman? Man, superhero stuff.
Indy?
Die Hard?
Star Wars?
And my personal vote, in a year or two. Dragonball Z. Cuz that is going to be AT LEAST four big ol films.

Perhaps one devoted simply entirely to comic-book adaptations? I mean, it seems like there's a new one anounced every day, and there would be more then enough material to work with. Plus, it doesn't look like Marvel's going bye-bye anytime soon..........
And with Avi Arad having anounced that Fantastic Four is still slated for a 2004 release with no known script or cast or director.....it'd be an interesting thread.......
But maybe that's too general?

Another one could be "asian horror remakes", since it seems that they're going to sink us in next years.

I like the idea of a superhero movies thread. with the amount that are due to come out over the next few years, it would be cool to have all the threads in one place. convenient.
also have to agree with the Bond movies thread- i mean, i cant see the Bond series coming to an end just yet, so it might be nice to have a specific place for all the Bond stuff, just to stop large numbers of threads taking over the general upcoming movies forum.

I agree that there should be a Bond forum.
So I can avoid it completely.

I'd like to see a Superhero movie thead as well (but since my opinion does not count, I'll shut up now;) )

Just to clarify, these would be new FORUMS, not threads.... (as sub-forums in UPCOMING MOVIES)

We should have a comic book movie thread, since that's the new trend now. Although there will be enough activity in the LOTR forum at least, since there is the EE of ROTK, and enough potential topics to last awhile, enough to support a forum. *Scarface98.9 pulls hand out of ass in shame upon realizing there's probably not enough potential*

Probably a Upcoming Comic Book Movies sub-forum (no doubt, there's a million of them coming around) and Pirates of the Caribbean.

Well all the ones I would want mentioned have been except it would be super cool if there was a Kill Bill one even though it's only got one more film coming out and its coming out soon, :).

I would KILL for that Kill Bill forum. I'd have a new forum to call home.
