First off I apologize if this is a duplicate thread. I used the search function like a good Schmoe and it said "Hat" was too short of a word...
Anyways...
I took my little 10 year old cousin and three of his charming little friends to see "Brother Bear" (My review: I'm growing to really hate Phil Collins and his wack ass sappy Disney Soundtrack crap)
But before the movie they had a pretty detailed trailer for the Cat in the Hat...
And it looked REALLY funny...
I am a VERY harsh judge of movie trailers (yes I'm the asshole behind you in the theatre who smells like weed and is giving his opinions through all of the trailers) I do shut up for the feature presentation though...
Mike Myers seems to be in top form with a lot of material to work with, and the CGI looked pretty well done. Also the set designs really seemed like they will do Dr. Seuss justice...
I'm officially looking forward to this movie...

I worked on this film, specfically the reshoots, for about three weeks. From what I saw it looks like this will blot the stain that was Grinch. All the problems are fixed and the set design and make-up are amazing. While there for three weeks I worked on 4 specfic sets most of them huge and it was amazing that imagination going into this project.
I think think things will work out quite well.

I'm not really looking forward to it. I didn't laugh or even chuckle out of pure cheesiness during the trailers, and I don't even think Mike Myers playing a classic Dr. Seuss character can save it

The word that comes to my mind when I think about this movie and how it looks is: uninspired.
The movie just looks like it has a cheap look to it. I don't really care for the production design. The Grinch was a much better looking film from what I can tell.
I'll still watch it and hope it will be good but it looks very uninspired to me. And I liked The Grinch.

Actually the cat is pretty decietful in the film. He kind of rides the line between good and bad. Also I havent seen the trailers yet but on set Mike looked both tall and slim which is amazing as he is a short guy.

I personally disliked Dr. Suess' "How the Grich Stole Christmas" (the live-action film), so I don't have very high hopes for this flick. Sorry, folks.

Looks like a piece of crap and the fact that Mike Myers is in it makes it worse than it looks the guy isn't even remotley funny and neither are any of his movies looks like a frontrunner for the razzies to me.

Well, I like Mike Myers and I'm looking forward to this more as another typical Mike Myers comedy rather than an accurate rendition of the Dr. Seuss story. Check out this clip (http://mediaframe.yahoo.com/launch?lid=wmv-100-p.1242000-120040,rnv-56-p.1241996-120040,wmv-300-p.1242001-120040,rnv-100-p.1241997-120040,rnv-300-p.1241998-120040,wmv-56-p.1241999-120040); it's like a sketch that Mike would have done on SNL.

This movie looks nothing short of terrible, like watching Liza Minelli get high and jump in front of a cement mixer. It's getting trashed by critics at Rotten Tomatoes, too. The word "heinous" seems to be the general agreement.

It's for the kids!!! Yes, the trailor may look crappy, but I know the younger audiences will love it. Due to the fact of the bright colors, and zany tactics that go on in the film. I myself will not see it, but it would be a great film to take your little sis or bro to!

Bright Colors hurt my eyes. I would see it if David Fincher directed it, but all this talk of bright colors...
Perhaps I should consult my optometrist before seeing this one. It doesn't look as bad as The Grinch, but doesn't look too good either.
