my worst experience was at Signs. In the theater there were a bunch of little kids crying and screaming.Food was thrown around.A group of teens in the front kept using laser pointers and were cussing and laughing and talking on cell phones.A woman yelled at them to shut their pie holes. She was dejected out of theater for "Misconduct"while they laughed and hooted.A little kid crawled over my lap and knocked my soda all over me.I threm him off and me and his parents got into a huge argument.I only caught a part of the movie.I went back the next night to a quiet theater and enjoyed it.

Whats is worst experience for you?

I've a few stories, but if you're asking what annoyed me most at the cinema, then this is it.

I was asked to stop laughing at Deep Blue Sea by an usher. I was the only person in the place, but the guy came over and uttered the immortal line 'It's not meant to be a comedy, sir'. I stared at him for a full minute before I realised he was serious, and that he meant for me to stop laughing. I left, but not before I was convinced that Renny Harlin is the funniest director since Billy Wilder.

I'm not sure if this really counts, but it was annoying nonetheless...

I was pretty much tanked (let's start off that way, shall we?) and I went to go see Gladiator in the theater when it first came out. I was pretty drunk and I talked to a teenage kid at the back entrance so we got in for free, even though I was so wasted I thought we were just going into the lobby to get the tickets (ahhh god looks out for drunks)! Anyways, y'know at the beginning of the movie when they are fighting against the Germanic tribes and for some reason or another the camera is filming in "slowish" motion and moving in very violent and erratic patterns? Anyway, to make a long story short, I became violently ill in a very short amount of time. I stumbled out into the aisle and spilled a coupla drinks, popcorn, etc. on people (ha maybe someone will write about me!) and finally made it to the bathroom only to once again have my past meal grace my presence. So anyway, 15min into the film I went back to my car and passed out for the rest of the movie, which I heard was quite good from my friend and later when I rented it I confirmed this notion. MORAL OF STORY: Don't drink and watch violently erratic motion pictures less you puke all over yourself.

Awww, I love it when kids throw up in cinemas and throw popcorn on people, they make my day.

When are they going to enforce that "If you're a cunt you can't come in" law, that would really be precious.

My annoying moments came when I was an usher at a movie theatre in my hometown. Fucking inconsiderate inbred hicks, we can never have anything nice in that town without people pissing all over it to mark their fucking territory. I mean I thought that people were more than mere animals, but I guess not. Fucking drunk high schoolers throwing up on the seats and passing out in the aisles after the movie. Then there are those people who come out of the theatre 10 minutes into a movie(Italian Job) saying it sucks and that they want to go into 2 Fast 2 Furious for free. Fuck em! They chose to pay for one movie, watch the fucking movie, or at least more than 10 minutes...I am glad I moved away from that shit hole.

note: I threw up in the bathroom, not in the theater itself. Just making that clear :D

I fucking hate it when assholes don't like a movie and expect their money back, even if they have sat through all of it. Talk about arrogant (and not in a cool arrogant way like me!)! If we all practiced this method then I'd end up seeing about 100 films a year and only end up spending £20. Hmmm, I think I may have to start a new thread just to bitch about this.

Holy Shit dude! That has to be the worst story i have heard! Did you get boosted from the theater for the argument between the kids parents? How old was the kid that crawled across you? I pry woulda freaked and just beat the hell outta whoever pissed me off in there (and it sounds like it was everyone in that theater)!

An annoying theater experience of mine was when i saw Next Friday. There are 3 sections to the old theater i went to. Right... Middle.. and left. We were sitting in the middle.. on the right was one Gang.. on the left was another gang. In the midfdle of the movie.. they start beefin, than we hear police helicopyters.. outside there was a BIG gang fight. We got free passes for 2 free movies. Here is the funny thing... i knew all the people on the one gang. When i got out of the theater they were all like "oh shit what up". It was funny as shit! But during the movie with all the shit that was goin on in th theater it was annoying as fuck.

About your story I cant help but think of South Park.

Jimmy: Come...on
Gang Member: Ya...come on.

My worst experience was when I went to see H20. It was packed and the front row consisted of 7 black girlfirends. They were fine for a while and even managed to turn off their cell phones when they rang. But then apparently the ex-boyfriend of the aisle girl came in with his friends. not only did they stand right in the middle aisle triyng to find a seat blocking all our views but the aisle girl started screaming at him to "get out of her face" and that "he was a bastard". Eventually they all started yelling at each other and then the audience including me started telling them to shut up. Instead they started yelling at us to mind our own buisness. Then one of the guys got in a fight with the middle aged man who decided to confront them. Eventual the ushers had to come in the break up what would had surely been a riot. I had to go see the movie again as none of us could actually pay attention to most of it.

sorry I should have explained the refernce.

Essentially Jimmy ad Timmy are locked in a gym with two rival gangs and they are standing between them. To diffuse the situatiion they give this long speech and at the end say come on. This little phrase convinces them they should all be friends. Its pretty funny if you can ever catch it.

I hate when you get to blabbering woman who haven't had time by themself or with their friends since they had kids. They go to a movie and talk about their kids, their husbands and so on.

I also hate taking my grandmother to the movie, she talks, ask alot of questions and dozes off and snores loudly!

Hey now! Women aren't all that bad are we?

Or maybe we are.....Example: Went to see Kill Bill a while back with my stepmonster and that woman drives me up a damn wall. Through half the movie she sits there asking me the stupidest questions you could ever think of. Most annoying night at the movies IMO. I normally go with my other to a showing that I know isn't going to be crowded but I went on the off chance with her and will NEVER go see a movie with her again.

I got two. When I was watching Pochahantes(you spell it!) these kids kept coming over to their mother, who was by me, and talking loudly.

BUt this, this kills me. I got up to go to the potty. Now I had to pass by these loud, annoying teenagers, so I said excuse me in French(I try to use it as much as possible so I can learn it better), anyway, I came back, and they had their feet up again, so, same thing. Anyway, after the movie, my friend told me the first time I left, when I said excuse me for trying ot get through the blockage that was their huge feet, that the one guy said "DId she just speak to me?" The nerve!!! I could've just kicked his damn feet and barged through the rows, but no, I said excuse me in a polite tone, walked through clamly, and said no more. Insolence! How dare they say that. Next time I see those damn kids, I'm kicking them and NOT saying excuse me. I mean, R-U-D-E!!!!!!!!!!

Probably the most annoying thing at the theater happened to me just today. I was at The Ritz 16, my local "arthouse" theater to see three limitedly released movies - The Station Agent, Mystic River, and Pieces of April.

First of all, I accidently got there much earlier than expected. I forgot that the first show was at 12:55 instead of 11:55, but I stayed there in the theater and waited for an hour, listening a CD on my walkman.

When the time came for the movie to start, the worst thing happened, and I'm not making this up - the power went out. The theater turned to darkness. The whole place was dark. In fact, the town area was out. It was very windy out, so one could assume that a powerline was knocked over or something.

I was annoyed. I had wanted to see those darn movies! I didn't go to that arthouse theater often, but when I did, I would see a whole bunch of limitedly released films my mainstream theater doesn't show. Why today?? Anyway, I got free passes back for all three movies, so I can go back anytime for free.

This is still a bust though.

I believe you hit the target on "The Station Agent." It's about a midget, or dwarf, who works at a train station and it revolves around him and the two women in his life. One who's probably a friend, and another with romantic sparks for him. Something like that. It's seems to be a dramity. Damn, it sucks that I didn't get to see it today. The theater better have it next week!

forgot what movie it was but a guy was talking non-stop (and answering his cell phone every 5 min.) and his pre-teen son was kicking my seat. I was trying hard not to turn around and choke them both. If you're going to behave like a douche, stay home and let people enjoy their night out.

When I saw Holes, a torch was being shined around the cinema from the bit where the film is projected, and it was very distracting.

I went to see that stupied/lame "Cabin Fever", the lights had dimmed, the movie had just started and everyone was quiet. Then we all hear the theater doors open and see a dim of light, we hear two males and a female arguing. The female was mad at her boyfriend/hubby for bringing the other male, who was acting like a jerk. They walk into the theater and the other male is obviously drunk and complaining in a aguementive way. The female refuses to sit with him. The agruement continued for about 10 min. They all sat seperate areas.

Through out the movie the drunk would yell some slurred, unreadable talk, everyone watched but was too afraid to confront or say anything in fear of a fight.

I often voluenteer at my local arthouse theater (it's nonprofit and only has 2 theaters), and I usually go into one of the movies once both begin. Well, when it was playing Intolerable Cruelty and Lost in Translation, two old women walked out of LIT a few minutes into it and were complaining about how they had to sit in the front row and they wanted a refund. If you're gonna come late, you're gonna have to sit in the front fuckin' row! They wait around for fifteen minutes in the lobby and then bitch about their seats.

Also, at Mystic River, sitting behind me was an old couple, and every few minutes one of them asked the other really loudly such inane questions as "Who is that?" "Is that hte brother?" and "Was he really a cop?" They see these movies they can't even fucking understand! I know these aren't really major, but they just piss me off
