All quiet on the Western Front is a great movie, the DVD is lacking on the extras side though. The same is very true of Apocalypse Now Redux, but both discs are worth buying simply because the movies are awesome.

Full Metal Jacket and Paths of Glory are two of my favorites. Also, I've always thought Memphis Belle was quite good

The only one I have is Black Hawk Down.

The Thin Red Line is a horrible movie.
Very boring, very long, and barely any special features.
Highly UN-recommended.

Three Kings
Tigerland
Great movies with great DVDs.
Enemy At The Gates
A little long and slow for my liking but still a good movie. Some good extras on the disc.
Behind Enemy Lines
A lot of fun, more a straightforward action movie than a war movie, but it stilll qualifies. Good special features on the DVD.

I think all of you have hit the main ones. One I own that I think is highly underrated is the Big Red One. It starts Lee Marvin and Luke Skywalker. The DVD is barebones and grainy as hell, but also very cheap. The movie is quite entertaining. It has some very funny moments, some emotional moments, and some pretty intense action scenes. It's not in the same class as Apocalypse Now or Saving Private Ryan, but a good war flick.

I highly recommend the slightly obscure masterpiece "A Midnight Clear" directed by Keith Gordon. A wonderful movie.

I figure I'll name the extremely few war movies I own on DVD:
The Deer Hunter
Saving Private Ryan
I want Apocalypse Now.

Hamburger Hill, The Hunt for Red October, We were Soldiers, and Jacobs Ladder (more horror than war).
Ones with drama would be Courage Under Fire, and Men of Honor.
