View Full Version : Fucking thousands and thousands of "cinema annoyance" threads!

There is only one Rant, Rant, Rant board, so why are there so many "Cinema Anti-Courtesy" threads clogging up at one time? Can't we boil this down to one or two threads? This board is getting serious constipation with all of them lying around.

What I think:

a) We should have these now boiled to one thread, or two.

b) Maybe we should suggest to JoBlo to make a Sub-Forum called "No Courtesy at the Theaters". We can make a pretty big sub-forum with that.

I don't know if this fits as a rant or a suggestion, but hell, who's with me? It's like the "Yay or Nay" threads that clogged the Celeb Talk forum if you ask me.

im with you. this is for Rants pertaining to anything and everything (film wise) a seprate sub forum for Theater Complaints would be good. Good thinkin

Meh.



If you think about it.... You can boil down just about every rant into categories...... like...


1. Rants against film prod. companies
2. Rants against video stores
3. Boycotts :D
4. "This celeb makes me angry!"
5. Bad manners at the Cinema
6. "This film was overrated!"
7. And the worst.... are rants against the FORUM itself. (like this thread)

Those seven categories pretty much cover any rant you'll come across. Then why not make seven sub-forums?


I disagree with you Jon, there's LOTS of different things to rant about the theatre itself. And though it all comes down to bad cinema manners... they're all separate ideas that are worth their own thread. In my opinion, anyways.

There are a lot of similar threads because there are a lot of similar assholes ruining movies by talking/using phones/having sex/crying babies etc. etc. To be honest though it's not clogging up the forum because the RANT page barely seems to change or have many new subjects each day I check it.

Not me, but I've read some pretty repulsive stuff on some of these threads about people having seen kids being sexually active in theatres, and a couple of actual schmoes bragging about it. To me this is worse than talking in a theatre because not only is it distracting and disrespectful, it's outright deplorable.

Well Jon, I myself make an attempt to use the SEARCH function before creating a thread. But yes, I do agree that a lot of threads opening up that are essentially the same in the end.

Since it's a rant board on a movie site it seems logical that this would be a common thread. But this is the first time I've seen so many- it's probably just a fluke. Maybe we have to think of some creative new rants to dilute them. :p

Most of the peoples theater rants on this board are bullshit. Sometimes I feel people have nothing better to do than rant about something insignifigant. People complain about commercials and other shit that they can easily avoid. Geez.

Yeah but it's personal opinion. What bothers one may not bother the other. Things get under my skin that wouldnt get under someone elses, ect.

Actually what should be done, is we trick the Cinema Anti-courtesy thread folks and turn them against the "Comedy Central quotes Joblo.com" folks and just have one big fucking brew-ha-ha, or as the English like to term, Battle Royale.
