I liked all 4 of the Batman movies. I thought they were great action entertainment. & I did not think the 4th movie was anywhere near of a bad movie as a lot of people say.

It was a pretty touch choice but I've given it much thought and I've decided to vote for the orignal Batman. Why? Well, Michael Keaton IS Batman the same way Jack Nickolson IS The Joker. Jack did pretty much steal the show here and is by far the best comic-book villian (The Green Goblin came close but couldn't be able to top off Jack's crown).
I love Batman Returns as well, Michael Keaton is back as Batman which is good to see. And yes, this one was a little more darker IMO. It was great but still I can't help but love the original no matter how much I enjoyed the second one, the original will always be my favourite Batman. Returns comes second.
Batman Forever I thought wasn't half bad, seriously. I actually enjoyed it, it wasn't too bad. Tommy Lee Jones was great as always and Jim Carrey was perfectly casted as The Riddler. Its no way near as bad as Batman and Robin but it isn't as good as the original Batman film. Still, not a bad movie.
But my vote goes to Batman, the original and best.

The Original Batman.
as far as i am concerned, this is still the only Batman movie which is any good. the other 3, for want of a better expression, were total turdburgers.

The first two ere by far the best. Burton's dark atmosphere was the right setting for them. My vote goes to Batman Returns. I think my crush on Michelle Pfeiffer puts it a little over the original. That Catwoman suit, hoo mama! And I agree, Michael Keaton IS Batman. But I think Bale will be a good suiter.

Anything passed Returns is unwatchable crap. Michael Keaton breathed so much life into Batman and Bruce Wayne and when he left it just was never the same.
Tim Burton added a cool dark atmosphere to the first two films which what the later films desperately needed and the first two werent directed by Shuemaker.

Batman - 2.5 or 3 (out of 4) - Too dark, too much of Joker, not enough Batman, not enough action.
Batman Returns - 2 - Way too dark, even less Batman, even less action.
Batman Returns - 3 - Good mix of dark and light, good pairing of villians/actors, Just enough Batman, good and enough action
Batman & Robin - 2 - Too mediocre and cheesy, character Poison Ivy horribly portrayed and written, George Clooney miscast, Schwartzenegger portrayal of Mr. Freeze and freeze action cool and best thing about movie; though its only an average movie, I find it underrated; It does have enough redeeming values to make it decently enjoyable and more than a so-called 0% movie.

It's a toss-up between Batman and Batman Returns.
But I'm going with Batman, if only for the Jack-Factor.

Batman of course was the best. It was dark and exciting. When return was released ...it was built more for a younger group of people. and we all know that forever and batman and robin sucked majorly bad.

Batman - The ugliness of Gotham City is both creepy and captivating to the audience's eyes. Michael Keaton really IS the perfect Batman and this film proves it, although Jack Nicholson's over-the-top turn as the Joker steals the show. Perfect match of good vs. evil, justice vs. injustice. 8.5/10
Batman Returns - It's not only my favorite of the Batman franchise, it's also my all time favorite super hero movie. This time around Gotham City is made even more dark by it's brooding, effective atmosphere; it gives you the feeling of being both alive during the seasons but there's always that 'weird' touch to it. Michelle Pfeiffer is especially EXCELLENT as Catwoman, who was my very first crush and still remains as one of the top 10 sexiest characters of all time to this day. 9/10
Batman Forever - Guilty pleasure; pure cheesefest with some laughable dialogue, but I enjoyed it. 7/10
Batman and Robin - Uma Thurman as Poison Ivy..........that's it. 3/10

Dark, thrilling, intense, but not enough character development fro bruce wayne nd y he is batman, still good movie!
Batman Returns - 7/10
seemed like tim burton didnt think the sequel to batman should b about batman, more about catwoman and penguin. chris walkne rocked the house tho!!
Batman Forever - 5/10
Val Kilmer as Batman - C+, Jim Carrey as Riddler - A, Tommy Lee Jones as Two Face - D+, Joel Schumacher as Director - F-
Batman & Robin - 1/10
The only gud thing about this film is Uma Thurman as Poison Ivy, not cause she was gud, jus coz she is hot!!!
