Could they bring Jean back in some way? I mean, anyone who might have read the comic, is there a way she could be coming back? I felt so down when she died...

I just hope Nightcrawler comes back unaltered.

If she is brought back, they will have to bring her back as The Phoenix. They hinted at it in X-2. The way her eyes turned all........fire like and the shape in the lake at the end

Famke Janssen is definitly coming back in X3, because here in Holland, she said during an interview on a tv programm, that she had signed for both X2 and X3! Yaayyy!
And I think too that she will return as the Phoenix as you can see in the ending of X2, you see also a firebird 'phoenixlikething' flying under water...cool I can't wait!!

Agree completely, the fact that they didn't bring him up in the first movie was okay with me. but not bringing him in X-2 was just really sad.....really really sad.:( :mad:

If Gambit is not in the third film, that would really suck hard. The Phoenix storyline should definitely be the focal point of X3 because of the hints that were left at the end of X2.

Phoenix will be and Gambit will probably be too, I mean what other good Xmen do they have?

Beasts makeup would be REALLY complex, and CGI would be too expensive. Dont expect to see him there.

Really want the full-ice Iceman though!

I'm not sure but how would Olivier Martinez look in the Gambit role? Don't think about him in S.W.A.T, but in Gambit uniform and everything...

Why? Because he's too similar to Wolverine personality-wise and too similar to Cyclops powers-wise.

I don't really want new characters for X3. My biggest problem with both X-Men and X2 was that the volume of characters meant that they were never really developed enough.

Phoenix on the other hand... That will be worth seeing.

in every comics storyline the phoenix came about by way of some cosmic force and in the movie they just say it's because she's evolving more and they don't give any reason for it. and they will have to have some villian for her to figt and not just magneto. i say they should have the sentinals. they rocked hard.

in this movie they should have had the dark cerebro locate all of the mutants and send the coordinates to the sentinals and just have them comming out of the ground in some remote location and have the x-men go fight them. it would have been way cooler and they could have had jean use her phoenix powers (and pretty much everybody ripping out all their powers) to destroy the sentinals.

The Pheonix dies and is reborn from the ashes. That's the way it is. (see current issues of New X-men for more info). I don't think they need a reason to bring her back considering she wasn't dead at the end of X2 (you see flames moving under water at the end of X2. they even make the Pheonix shape).

BTW. Everyone should read the original Dark Pheonix story, It is a classic. And is almost always referred to as the best X-men story ever.

Beast might accually be in it. He almost made X2. They don't need to make him furry. For the first ten years or so of X-men he wasn't.

I've also heard rumours of Gambit, Angel, Emma, Psylocke and a few others. But again, just rumours

No, no. Jean was Pheonix and a good guy for quite some time. from around issues 101 to about 130 something. She didn't become bad until White Queen and Mastermind screwed with her mind.

Here's whats going to happen, Apocolypse will rise. He and his 4 horsemen (including Archangel) create massive chaos. The government will bring in the sentinals to try to stop him. The X Men will be powerless to stop Apocolypse alone. Thats were Phoenix comes in. She rises to try to defeat Apocolypse the same time Cable travels into the present to do the same. X Men, Phoenix, and Cable work together with the brotherhood to stop Apocolypse. After the victory there will be a setup for X4, where the sentinals turn on all mutants star wars style.

It may be what you want to happen, but that is definetely not whats going to.

Apocolypse himself would be plenty. The sentinels temsevkes would be plenty. Phoenix herself would be plenty. Hell Magneto was plenty.

Sounds amazing! It would be totally badass if they could steall a page from The Matrix and split this into two movies ala Reloaded and Revolutions. Bring back Singer...add Cable, Bishop and Gambit...

gambit is by far the best xman and if they leave him out again...imma burn down fox's studio. the only way i see him as similiar to wolverine is that at times they both dont want to be at the mansion...but damn gambit is the SHIT!!!

can u imagine an opening scene of X3, similiar to the nightcrawler scene in X2, but this time its gambit doin all this acrobatic shit, pole vaulting off his staff, stealing something, then escaping throwing cards or charging something to explode!!!!.

they could open it with gambit down in New Orleans or something, still as a master theif!

I think X3 would have the same idea behind X2 (2 major enemies, Stryker and Magneto) but with a "strange" alliance to stop the worst one.

My guess is Jean Grey would appear almost dead (just like Neo at the starting point of Revolutions), and mutants start to dissapear (sentinels), Xavier thinks it Magneto but discovers that he is also a prisoner somewhere.

In the middle of the movie Jean Grey wakes up and becomes Phoenix, she is evil and starts destroying the school form the inside, outside sentinels arrive, huge action sequence, x-men are being defeated by sentinels while Xavier tries to break into the mind of Phoenix, he gets it with some cheesy scene of Cyclops and/or Wolverine being almost killed, Phoenix turns good and destroys the sentinels.

Now the final huge action sequence... saving Magneto and his brotherhood from a huge high security prison, good boys from outside, bad boys from the inside.

Sentinels should be human-size, and at the end we get are usual king-kong-size sentinels

Pretty much goes like this. After getting crazy-ass powers and doing some X-men shit (taking out baddies, fighting and whatnot)
Two villians who are part of the Hellfire club, Mastermind and White Queen, start playing around with Jean Grey's mind. Making her believe she's been living a dream and her real life is around the time of the civil war. They give her a taste of true power which, after the X-men free her, causes her to be corrupted and become the Dark Pheonix.

Soon She destroys a star system and the Shi'ar send the imperial gaurd after her. After a big battle with them Pheonix Sacrifices herself to save her friends.

I left out a bit i think, but the cartoon follows it fairly close
( the 90's cartoon)

I remember a rumour (or maybe it was true! :D ), that i've read on the internet: That Brian Singer considers to put Sentinals in the third movie. But they will not be as big as in the cartoons/comics, but smaller and different to look more realistic.

A few years back there were some new sentinels kicking around, during a storyline with the Villain Bastion. These looked like normal humans for the most part, but when they went into full mutant hunting mode they turned sort of robotic with glowing eyes and stuff. That model of sentinel would work out best in a movie format IMO

Actually (bben listening to the commentary on X2) A sentinel was originally writtten in to tear the door off the original cerebro. they just couldnt do it.

Beast was written in also. As was Gambit. Multiple Man. And abunch others. And dont fortget about the Danger Room, which they actually built but couldnt actually use.

So dont think there wont be plenty of good fun.

I want to see a huge fight with Iceman and Pyro, that'd be fucking awesome. Maybe more screentime for Jubliee and Beast, and have Gambit come...but there lies a problem.

I'm not too good with X-Men lore (I'm more of a Spider-Man person myself, but still read the X series when I get the chance), don't Rouge and Gambit have some sort of thing going on? A simple relationship has already been established with her and Iceman, and with Gambit in the picture, it'd basically be like the already Wolverine/Cyclops/Jean love triangle, but with Iceman (who would be the 'Cyclops' of the relationship)/Gambit (whose character is like Wolverine's)/Rouge. Not to mention that we have Pyro in the mix, which means Iceman will have a big shit of problems if they bring in Gambit for the third.
