No Bond villain was as creepy and evil as Ernst Stavro Blofeld. He, of course, was the inspiration for Dr. Evil in the Austin Powers movies. Of the five actors that have portrayed the man, who did the best job?


Anthony Dawson (Thunderball)
Donald Pleasence (You Only Live Twice)
Charles Gray (Diamonds Are Forever)
Telly Savalas (On Her Majesty's Secret Service)
John Hollis (For Your Eyes Only)


Okay, Hollis was only a cameo, but you gotta admit it was one hell of a start to For Your Eyes Only.

I'm going to have to go with Pleasance with Savalas coming in a close second. I enjoyed On Her Majesty's Secret Service more but Pleasence's Blofeld set the standard and was also the ugliest.

P.S. I may have forgotten a Blofeld, if so, let me know. :cool:

I just saw "For Your Eyes Only," and saw the great opening with Blofeld. I'm wasn't too familiar with the villian, but now I can see the basis of Austin Power's villian, Dr. Evil!
