Aliens DVD

Can anyone give me a rundown of what to expect if I bought the Aliens SE DVD? Like how good are the special features and such. Any help would be great.

The special features are pretty interesting, though nothing extraordinary. But there's some really great behind-the-scenes footage, like early tests of the full-size queen alien puppet, for example. I'd highly recommend it just for the director's cut of the film, which makes an already great movie even better.

Word has it a 5 star 2 disc special edition is coming out in time with even more features.

I'm sorry, it's Alien that's confirmed for a re-release, not Aliens.

I don't know when, but it has been confirmed.

They'll probably re-release the whole LEGACY though and give all films more extras

If they re-release it they better do some sort of trade in thing.

I don't really want the whole Legacy series anyway, just Aliens. I may consider Alien in the future, but so far Aliens is the only one of the trilogy (I refuse to include Resurrection) that I'm willing to buy.

Yesterday at dvdfile.com they said that in January, Fox will be discontinuing all the Alien DVDs. Rumor is that they are working on all 4 movies, and upgrading them to higher editions.

My mom is a big sci-fi fan and she has the directors cut of "Aliens." Very interesting cut but it is a little long.
