Over at the DVDTalk.com forum, someone has posted a February 3rd, 2004 as a release date for Kill Bill Vol. 1. Now they don't list their source which is why I'm only reporting it as a rumor for right now. But, in the few years I've been visiting their page, I've never seen a release date wrong. But right now, I don't want to jump the gun and say its official. But I still knew you guys would like to know. I want you to know, I want you to know.

Would make sense, gives you a couple of weeks to refresh Vol1 in your mind before Vol2 arrives. Bring it on.

That would be awesome if they released it that Feb. 3rd. As SAI stated it would give one a nice refresh of Vol. 1 before running to the theatre to see Vol. 2. I don't know about you guys but I'm crossing my fingers that this "rumor" is true.

Here's hoping there's a trivia track showing all the references to other kung-fu movies that influenced it.

And director's commentary!

Supposedly, it'll be February 20th, hence the good marketing plan to release it sooner

I'd love to see the House of Blue Leaves fight sequence in color as an extra on the disk. It's a good way to screw over the MPAA.

Personally, I am going to wait until Volume 1 and 2 are out on dvd and buy them as a collective set. It is probably going to be one of the best dvds in my entire collection. It's worth holding off for the double disk edition in my book.

hell ya, i just heard the news from DVDfile... here is there story:

Rounding out this week's news, Buena Vista Home Entertainment has also announced a a February 3rd street date for Quentin Tarantino's latest ode to exploitation, Kill Bill Vol. 1. Specs have not yet been announced, but this two-disc set will retail for $29.95 and full details should be released soon. Watch this space!

I cant wait.

I have a question: When the volume 2 is released and it will more than likely be a 2 disk set... does that mean that TECHNICALLY Kill Bill in entirety is a 4 disk Collectors Edition?? (like Lord Of The Rings??)

If Miramax was nice, they would include a free ticket to Volume 2 in the dvd.

Yeah, I think so. And then he(Tarantino), wants to release both flicks on one DVD release with new extras.

If you think about the actual time between the theatrical release date with that of the video release date, it's actually not that far apart. Less than 4 months.

Tarantino's big into collecting and double dipping, so for those of us, like me and flowrchild, who want to wait for a big double set, it seems like it's definitely in the pipeline. Supposedly with extras not on the other sets

I can't believe how many people would rather see that fight in colour. I thought it was so incredibly beautiful in black and white...I would prefer not to see the colour version of that fight. Anyways, I hope this rumour's true as it is (thus far), the best film of 2003. A 10/10 film in my books.

IMO, they should release a branching version and you can be able to view both versions separately.
