Todd McFarlene has decided to jump to a somewhat new version of Spawn (like an earlier spawn) or something like that. Don't know if this is true or not considering the first Spawn was, what, in 97? It's been too long.

No, thanks. The first one was enough shit for me.

I agree with the martian. The first Spawn movie held promise at the start, but it soon burned out after the first half. The only redeeming fact was John Leguizamo's portrayal of Clown. Other than that, the movie flopped.

I remember reading at Spawn.com ages ago that Todd Macfarlane wanted to do a Spawn 2 but keeping Spawn a much more darker figure, like a boogeyman type creature.

But thats the last I ever heard of Spawn 2, I think its doubtful it'll ever get made. Maybe a remake of the original in a few years time maybe.

I think it's been hard on trying to get this movie going because of the shit that's the original movie.

I really doubt they ever made another movie...

I donīt think the Spawn carachter will survive through years like other legends from the comics, Batman, Superman, Spiderman and Hulk to name a few.

Dude! Spawn could totally survive becoming a franchise if they had the talent for it. McFarlene should just write the story for the next movie and have the experts do the rest. Also, the characters in the first were lame and not true to form.

hey i've read thiiis today! so there is a Spawn 2 coming??!

December 01, 2003 - A scooper for Ain't It Cool News advised the site last week that Spawn actor Michael Jai White said during a recent appearance at a Supermegafest convention appearance in Massachusetts that Sylvester Stallone was in the running to portray the villain in Spawn 2.

AICN's scooper added that "White says he's going to be doing the sequel next year."

IGN FilmForce checked with Spawn 2 producer Don Murphy who shot down the report: "There is zero truth to any of this story which Harry [Knowles, AICN's webmaster] could have found out from me in one email if he cared."

Spawn 2 remains in development with a script by Hans Rodionoff (Man-Thing).

The first movie got me into the comics to know enough that it sucked ass. I would very much welcome a darker, more McFarlane sequel.

It says "emergine 2000" though. I liked the director's cut of Spawn, and I'd go see a sequel. I don't want Spawn kept in the dark though, that would suck ass, I wanna see him kicking ass. How cool is Michael Jai White?? I hope they introduce that Angel sent to hunt Spawn, I forget her name, but she's a badass. And just a little off topic, does anybody else think Spawn resembles the Guyver a little too much?? They're both awesome though.

Nah, not really, at least not to me. The only part might be the eyes and the fact that they have no mouths. Other than than, they're pretty diverse in design.

Agreed! I really dig those two Guyver movies.
