Anybody have the Complete Nightmare on Elm Stree DVD Collection, it's an entire boxed set with all 7 Freedy Film except for FvsJ, and a special 8th disc called the Nightmare on Elm Street Encyclopedia, if anybody has, please tell me how good it is.

I've got this and if you're a fan of the series then it's a must buy, with a capital MUST! :D

Basically, you get all seven films, commentaries on the first and last one from Craven, and about 3 hours of extras, including music videos (Dokken - yah! :D), MTV spots, deleted scenes, cast and crew interviews, and much more. There's also an hour long doumentary on the first NOES which despite knowing tons about the series alread I found really interesting.

Best of all, although you can access all of the special features directly from the respective discs, there's a Labyrinth game on the extra disc which allows you to wander around an abandoned school (including the boiler room!) and discover all of the special features as you explore.

In a word, essential. This is currently my favourite box set of all time (and I've got a few!) although I suspect it's about to be knocked off the top spot by the new Alien Quadrilogy box set (another of my favourite horror series).

I had it and sold it. I regret it now. The box set is fantastic! If you're a NOES fan then this box set is for you.

I should probably snag this one. It's a damn fine boxset, minor quibs aside (an uncut version of Part 5 would've been nice). Pick it up!

I have it and bought it for a little over $100 and it was the best buy I ever made. The movies have a great transfer. And the Nightmare on Elm Street Encyclopedia is amazing! There are tons of extra features on it.

BUY IT NOW!

Oh...My...God I just picked it up today, it's incrediable. I didn't watch it yet, but just by read all the stuff that it's load with :p I feel this probably the best DVD Box Set that's ever been made, I thought the Godfather was the creme de la creme, but I think this just might blow it away, in fact I'm sure it will. The best part about it is, I only paid $69 at Walmart for it!!!. I might be exargerating a little by saying it's the best Box Set available today, but I think it is, it's load with all these features & that bonus 8th disc, I'm going to go bonkers watching all this crap, it'll probably take me a couple days to get the entire experience. I truly agree with everybody, this kicks ass.

Nope, you're pretty much on the money there - the only boxset that I can think of that tops this is the new Alien Quadrilogy set, which I'm working my way through! Just the stuff on Alien3 alone makes it worth the price, but this is one priceless treasure chest for the Alien fan! :D

It's a Great 8 DVD set.
I got My copy at Best buy for $80.
If you shop around maybe you could find it for $70
Too bad there's NO "friday the 13th" Box Set (1-8)
Lets hope if paramount does release it , the Price won't too high Maybe $80 would a ok price.

It's interesting this Box Set came out in 1999, I'm assuming it probably had to be one of the first box sets ever released on DVD.

You wish is granted - it's due out sometime in 2004, with apparently a good selection of extras. How it'll stack up against the NOES box set remains to be seen but I for one am looking forward to it! :)

This raises a good question about both the NOES & Friday the 13th films, is Freedy vs Jason part of NOES & Friday 13th films are is it just it's own seperate movie. If I'm confusing you, what I'm saying is ya know how U.S. Marshalls is considered to be more of it's own film rather than a sequel to The Fugitive.

I read somewhere it is counted as both, but I also read somewhere it is counted as a NOES movie.

Freddy Vs. Jason will be it's own franchise, while the F13 and NOES continue their own.

Just be warned the 5th film in the series is the cut U.S R-rated theatrical version instead of the unrated one but i doubt even the extra gore in the unrated version could save the film.
Anyways, yay i got the box set and otherwise it's great.

I've watched all the films in the box set except the first. Just need to check that out tonight to make sure the discs isn't a dud.

I happen to like Part 5. It's better than part 6.

Got the boxset for X-mas and am so happy I could kiss a goat! OMG Love the fact that it comes with that book that tells about each film and a bit about the actors. Not too mention that disk of extras. The quality of the films are great! I've found my new bed buddy! ;)
