2 movies i recorded recently on my vcr were 1-Mullholland Drive which i give 4 and a half stars out of 5 and Rules of Attraction which I give 3 Stars out of 5. In both cases of these two movies I had to watch the movie a second time. In the case of Mullholland Drive I had to watch it a second time to figure out that most of the movie was a fantasy or a dream, and we met the dreamer in real life at the end and fleetingly at the very beginning. In Rules of attraction the first time I saw the movie I thought it was a hilarious comedy while the second time I saw it realized how disturbing and bleak it was. Of course both movies are bleak and disturbing. While Mullholland Drive is the more confusing of the two it is also the more complicated and "deeper" film. I recommend them both. Incidentally both movies involve sexual activities, in one movie gay and straight and in the other movie lesbian and straight.
