Chat room not working?

Has anyone else been having problems with the chat. For a couple days every time I go to the page, the sign in box won't load...is it just me?

Would the powers that be (Jo, are you out there??) get totally pissed if I set up an IRC chat with a java interface as a sort of... umm.. smoother alternative?

It would take me like 10 minutes and it would work all the time without crashing other windows or locking.

Hey moviemuffin, I'm sure Jo would be more than happy to let you set that up. Here he says that he'd welcome any NEW FREE chat suggestions that are better than the one we currently use...

K.. it being Christmas Eve and me being a fambly-gal (grin) I will wait to do this on the 26th but...

I can register an IRC channel and create a java chat interface so that EVERYONE can use it no problem. IRC is just a better way to go.

I'll contact a friend who owns a server and get us the space, and I'll email Jo once I can give him all the specifics. You'll all be addicted to mIRC by the New Year.

1) The last time I checked, folks didn't complain about the SAME THING OVER AND OVER AGAIN and make snide insinuations about matters without knowing how our board is actually run. Furthermore, when we respond to your "complaint" with URLs, examples and major explanations (this is in reference to your POP-UPS complaints), we expect you to READ and FOLLOW THEM...not to keep complaining about them over and over...

2) The last time I checked, folks didn't pepper their "complaints" (which is part of what this forum is about) with stuff like "he must be on a power trip" or "Jo must have sold his soul" when making their arguments.

3) If you don't like the way you're being treated on this board, there's the door, Jackson13 -->
