How many dvds do you consider to be a big collection?

Yeah, 150 sounds about right. I'm not quite there yet, I have about 125 or so. However, if a 150 dvd collection is considered big, I wouldn't even know what to call someone's collection of 500- 1,000 dvds. The words "excessive" and "massive" come to mind.

Just for the hell of it I cruise around dvdaf sometimes and look at people's collections that are that big. I wonder how a.)someone could afford all those- b.)where they keep/display them-c.)and HOW they display them.

i have just under 500 DVD's! and well over 1000 VHS.

My friend had a collection of around 700 vhs that he traded for a Playstation 1.

I wasn't surprised when years later he was admitted into the psych ward at a hospital.

How do you browse people's collections? That would be a good way of seeing and then remembering films that I want.

I'm at #314, so give me about 3 years, I'll be about 500 by then.

Im a lil over 800 in. It just sort of started in '98 and just seems to get bigger every few weeks, Its taken over my entire room. And figuring out how to display them so that it looks good was very very tiresome. Oh well.

Just type in any name of a film and see who has it and then look through their entire collection.

I have 115 , but about 11 boxed seasons of t.v shows eg Buffy, Simpsons, Babylon 5 - does each disc count as one dvd or a whole season ?

I'm up to 894 now. Just bought T3 on Tuesday. Usually get about 4 a week.

I built shelves in a storage closet I have in my finished basement that holds all the DVD's and can hold about 400 more. Not sure what I'm going to do once the shelves are all used up.
