Jack White has a small role in COLD MOUNTAIN...cool!

It seems that Jack White of The White Stripes has got a small role in the upcoming Oscar contender, Cold Mountain. I actually haerd him talking about this the other day on Much and he said it was a lot of fun getting to play a musical character in this period piece. I'm totally looking forward to seeing him in this movie as The White Stripes are one of my favorite bands of recent times (Smashing Pumpkins, Weezer and The Cranberries are up there too) and of course because it looks like a great film. Anyways, I just thought it was kinda cool news...

What's cooler is that apparently he's doing some music for the soundtrack, which would be awesome....

He mentioned something on the MTV music awards about having a role in a movie called "Ride with the Devil" and he plays a Civil war deserter.

I heard about this awhile ago, and is an interesting choice. Meanwhile, in other musicians-having-roles-in-big-budget-movie news, Gwen Stefani of No Doubt has a role in The Aviator, the Howard Hughes biopic

Anyway, The White Stripes rule and the movie looks cool. I'm beginning to wet myself in anticipation! :p
