There´s a lot of talk about casting but what about directors?? Bond movies have always changed directors so who would you like to direct a Bond movie?
My choices:
- John Woo
- Tsui Hark
- Christian Duguay
- Luc Besson
- Doug Liman
- Michael Bay
- Tony Scott

My dream choice is Fincher. I'd love to see his version of a Bond movie. Knowing that would never happen, I realistically wouldn't mind seeing Doug Liman take a shot at it.

Yeah, Fincher would be my dream choice as well - but I kind of hope his career never reaches the point that he has to do one - ya know?
In the real world, I'd love a Luc Besson effort myself.

David Fincher

Now that would give us some bad-ass, entertaining BondJamesBond.

Good list James, James Cameron is the king of action packed sequals. His instalment would definately be interesting!

I know how Spielberg always wanted to direct a Bond movie (he did Indy instead), so, it'd be pretty cool if the master himself did one.

Actually yeah, as much as I reckon he'd think he was "above" doing them post-Titanic, Id love to see James Cameron do a Bond.

Die Another Day was such an American affair that it still surprises me that it was directed by a New Zealander, and because of Die Another Day's success most of the trends that film presented will be continued in the next film - Bond is the definition of formulae afterall. So if the producers are going to keep the film as an Americanised actioner (note Michael Madsen's character) then my vote would be for Tony Scott - only because he is defined by those type of films AND has managed to make some smaller interesting ones.

Thats exactly why I'd want Tony nowhere near a Bond flick personally.
The Americanisation of 007 is totally fucked IMO.

I'd want him to do a BATMAN film first, but I'd love to see what Neil Jordan would do with a Bond flick.

1ST CHOICE:
The Wachowski Bros :D
2ND CHOICE:
Brett Ratner
3RD CHOICE:
Peter Hewitt
(He's worked with the screen writers of Bond 21 before on Johnny English, but mainly does family and comedy films.)

That would work...But only if they give us a lot of BOUND-like lesbian hotness, and no THE MATRIX-like psycho-babble.
BAD GUY: "Well...we meet again, Mister Bond."
BOND: "Do we? To meet is just a word. A transitive verb, to be precise. What matters, is the interaction."
BAD GUY: "What the fuck are you talking about?"
BOND: "Ah, you're confused. But what is confused? Believe. Have faith. Whoa." *beat* "And I see your female henchwoman is hot as heck. I have a boner." *French accent* "Action, consequence." *walks up to Bond Girl* "Wanna shag, doll?"
BOND GIRL: "Well, depends...where other people see coincidence, I see...PRICE."
...No thanks. ;)

Ridley Scott, perhaps? He directed the stylish Matchstick Men, and all that. Plus he's a master of action. I think he could do something with Mr. Bond.

Ok Heres what im gonna say
Micheal bay: GOd no-it would be all actions with no consequences and no plot
James cameron-would be interesting but u better be ready to sit for a while cuz we all know how he likes to take his sweet time in telling a story.
The Wachowski Bros - My mind is saying yes but my instincts are saying no. Why b/c it would be bullet time fest 2004 with Ten% more bullets! that and the fact that they would try and make it some life altering expirence.
Gore Verbinski- he would give bond a nice atmospheric tough that woul be tight.
Stephen Sommers- would e a very generic bond ...a little too much popcorn
David Fincher- Dark and brooding i tihink this would be a Hella perfect BUT Like with alien 3 i get the feeling the direction he would want to take it would not be the direction the studio would want. know what i mean?
Luc Besson- Really dont know what to say. i mean if u want him based on Leon then we're gonna have minimal action maximan charecter development. but on the other hand...it would be a really good watch
Personally the three i want to see:
David fincher
James camron
RIDLEY SCOTT!-Would be really good!
what do u think ?
