Taking Lives

New Angelina Jolie/Kiefer Sutherland/Ethan Hawke movie.

Spoilers (if you haven't seen the trailer):










Jolie plays an FBI profiler who's tracking a serial killer played by Sutherland. The killer takes a man's identity and moves on to the next after cash-ola runs out. Hawke plays the only witness. Romantic things ensue between Jolie and Hawke (of course, blech). This complicates the investigation because romance between a cop and a victim is a no no.

I saw the trailer on Access Hollywood and it looks fantastic. It seems to me though that Sutherland has taken quite a few bad guy roles lately with Phone Booth and now this. I guess since he always plays the good guy on the TV show 24 he tries to spice it up by playing bad guys in movies.

Anyway, I can't wait!

The crappy thing about it is the release date. It's being released the same day as Kill Bill: Volume 2. Jolie's last movie, Beyond Borders, didn't fare well against a big release, even though it was an awesome movie.

The story seems rather blah, Jolie as a badass chick solving a mystery, Hawke as a weak twitchy dude, and Sutherland as a homocidal maniac. Still makes for a good time, I suppose.

The poster looks kind of bland (although the film grain effect looks nice), but those lucious lips of Angelina's are all the incentive I need to see it. :)

i couldnt believe all this talent in one movie....
go kiefer....!!!!
but the trailer kept showing jolie in sexual scenes...
and i ponder what this movie is really about...

Yeah, I think this one is gonna rock. I also thought the trailer is pretty cool, and I think we can expect something like "SEVEN meets IDENTITY". And it has Angelina Jolie!

Hey LexLuthor, are you sure you saw the trailer for this one? Because the trailer I saw had no sexual scenes between anybody. I just saw it again. Anyway, can't wait for this movie.

Warner Bros. must have some faith in this one. They are giving it a nationwide sneak preview this weekend. Kickass! :D I really want to see this one. It's my third most anticipated film of March (behind Secret Window and Dawn Of The Dead)

I can't wait to see this. I love Angelina Jolie and I'm a sucker for the genre.

I think we can expect something like "SEVEN meets IDENTITY".

Um...? My hopes are as high as the next guys, but that's like expecting a dozen porn stars from a blind date set-up by a third cousin.

The cast is good. Besides Jolie, it's just a lot of pretty goods, rather than a couple of real greats. Most stunning cast you've seen in a while? I guess your not following the "Batman: Begins" news then...:D

Second movie in a row where Kiefer is the bad guy. Is it me or does it seem that ever since 24 premiered he's only played bad guys? Not that I'm complaining or anything. Just an obversation.


The movie does look pretty cool, though.

I guess he's doing this as sort of a counterweight system to Jack Bauer.
