Could be the first "retard" movie of 2004.

Radio was a very good film and I will definitely be picking up the DVD. It did okay at theatres, having very versatile legs after opening weekend.

That was fast for a movie that did very well at the box office (considering most expected it to bomb). I will be renting this.

I don't say this very often, but this is a movie I have no interest in ever seeing. Not my thing at all.

It would be if Anna Faris had played Ed Harris' daughter, I guarantee it.

You're right about that one. If Anna Faris was in this, I'd see it. If Anna Faris was in Open Range, I'd see that too. Luckily for me, she's not in them, so I don't have to sit through them.

I thought the flick was better than I thought it would be, but in some respects, it was exactly the movie I thought it would be. Cuba actually tried to downplay his performance, keeping the role earnest and honest, but just when RADIO showed something nice and sweet, the sappiness would take over and just ruin the mood. It was pretty much this way for the whole two hours; a constant series of not-bad scenes followed by sappy-as-hell ones.

Oh, and Mike, OPEN RANGE was awesome.

Definitely. Not a borefest at all. You should at least check it out on DVD. It's at least a 8/10 or a 9/10.

Nah, I'd say it's a 7/10. A solid film but not great one though it has a kick ass gun fight at the end. I also didn't get the big deal with Robert Duvall's performance. He was good (of coarse!) but not THAT good. He's been much better (his best performance was in The Apostle IMO).

Back on topic:

I liked this movie. Cuba was good though for me, atleast, this movie belonged to Ed Harris. It was nice to see him on screen again and he was terrific. I'll probably buy it but probably not right away for although it's good there are other movies that I like more that I would want to buy first.

Sorry guys, but I'm not into westerns and am not interested in seeing Open Range at all. It looks boring, IMO. But, if it had Anna Faris in it, I'd see it, just like I'd see anything if she was in it. ;)

Wait, Anna is in it...She plays...umm...uhh...Naked Barmaid #15, and she's dancing in the corner of every scene! I swear!

Suuuurre. I wish. If she was, I'd be seeing it, right after going to church with my grandparents ;) (This is just a joke, since this last summer Adam said the only people going to see it would be old people after church. That's not a place I go, and I don't have a set of grandparents. ;)).

Mike: did you like either Dances with Wolves or Unforigiven

On Radio, I'll give it a rent. See how good/bad it was.

I saw Dances with Wolves a long time ago, and I guess I thought it was alright then. I probably wouldn't like it now though. And I never saw Unfogiven.

On-topic, movie looks "retarted", so I won't be renting this.
