The Bond movies, for the most part, have some pretty creative titles. Since they've already gone through all the original Ian Fleming novels, you could say they've been a little hard-pressed to think of good titles, but they've done an okay job thus far - even for the video games. The question is, what cool names are left?

So here's your opportunity to say what you think the title of a future Bond movie should be.

Two principal rules for this little game:

1. Try and steer clear of references to "Life" or "Death" (i.e. Live & Let Die, Die Another Day, You Only Live Twice, etc.)

2. No joke names like "Death of a Franchise" or "Just Kill Bond Already!".

lol. I dont know what it was about that post, but i absolutely love it. I can just imagine bond on the cover with a huge smile ear to ear. No explosions, or girls or guns, just bond smilin' away.

Guys, come on! SNL already pulled that gag with "Today Is Never Yesterday"...and might I say, Chris Parnell gives Connery and Brosnan a run for their money! ;)

After a little (okay, a lot!) of thought, I've got these lame ideas:

For The Love of War

Yesterday's Risk, Tomorrow's Opportunity

On a somewhat unrelated note, I was watching The Transporter on cable the other day...It occured to me the ending credits song, "Life of a Stranger", has something of a Bond-ish feel to it...so going against my own suggestion of avoiding Life and Death references, Life of a Stranger would make a cool Bond title.

-- God Save The Queen (the man's British, let's acknowledge it, for fuck's sake!)
-- Hidden Under the Ice (which I believe is what some said was rumored to be the title of DIE ANOTHER DAY)
-- Faceless Angels
-- Worth Fighting For
-- Good Things Never Die
-- Deck the Halls (how 'bout a Christmas release? ;) )
-- To Die For Love

Those are the ones I just made up just now. I know most of 'em sound kinda cheesy, and don't make sense...but that's why I figured they'd make good Bond titles. :D

Something with either "Limit" or "Spy" in the title...that's the best I can do.

Okay - here's my two cents:

1. Everything Or Nothing

("Everything Or Nothing" was rumored to be the title of Ian Fleming's next bond novel after "The Man With the Golden Gun," it is where EON Productions got their name)

2. Shatterhand

3. Zero Minus Ten

(From the Raymond Benson 007 novel)

4. Casino Royale

(Casino Royale - the only Fleming novel not made into an "official" Bond movie - although there was a Woody Allen movie...)

5. Scorpius (from the John Gardner 007 novel)

6. Brokenclaw (love the Gardner 007 titles!)

7. Risico

(from the Ian Fleming 007 short story in his book "For Your Eyes Only")

8. The Man From Barbarossa

(another Gardner novel...)

Ian Fleming's novels save one have all been used - and it looks like the last one up for grabs (Casino Royale) will be the title for Bond 21. There are a handful of Bond short stories penned by Fleming that have yet to be used. I don't have the books in front of me, but off the top of my head I recall:

Quantum of Solace

Risico

The Property of a Lady

The Hildebrand Rarity

I think the first two would make fine Bond titles for future movies - the last two don't quite work. Eon also holds the movie rights to all Bond continuation novels including Kingsley Amis' "Colonel Sun," John Gardner's "Nobody Lives Forever," "Icebreaker," and "For Special Services," as well as Raymond Benson's "The Man With the Red Tattoo," and "Never Dream of Dying" among many, many others for all writers.

The more I think about it, the more I love QUEEN & COUNTRY. It's a shame it's been taken by a (rather excellent) comic book series recently...it'd feet a Bond movie perfectly. I also like KISS KISS BANG BANG (from that old song and, lo and behold, another comic book inspired by Bond), but that might be a little too parodic.

Apt title but hasn't it already been used for some crappy Dolph Lundgren flick.
