How do I get my private messages?

Hey you guys this si a technichal question but its bugging me. A window just opened up t hat said I had a private message when i hit ok to display it in t he new window where there should be new messages there is jus t a bar of black. i would love to know who sent me a message. What am i doing wrong?

For one, try the Suggestions Questions forum. Two, you're spaceb ar mus t be brok e. Three, try going to User Cp, and viewing it Manually.
