1. Cruel Intentions ( What is there to say. Wonderful re-make of Dangerous Liasons - everything about it was a 10 out of 10 )

tolga009, that's a good list. I could have gone without A Night at the Roxburry, I thought it was really stupid, but hey, at least you didn't put it in your top 10. Why don't you post your top 10 on the "Top 10" poll, and then reply to all other polls (directors, actresses, best and worst performances).
That's a pretty fun list. Did you like Braveheart? I STILL haven't seen Cruel Intentions. But all people say it's really good. cant wait till i see it

I'm going way back, baby. The very beginning, oh yeah. As for the list, good list. As Good As It Gets, Godfather, and Casablanca are all some of my favorites. Cruel Intentions...to each his own. The SMG and Selma kiss warrants a top 10 finish though. OH BABY!

My brief thoughts about the movies on this list....
10. As Good As It Gets - 3/5 (I never really understood the praise for this film. It was a good romantic comedy with great performances and all, but Oscar worthy it is not IMO)
9. Godfather - 5/5 (I agree. A true classic for generations and generations.)
7. Casablanca - 5/5 (See The Godfather. One of the top 3 greatest movies ever made IMHO, it's also the movie that made me love film, in general.)
6. Twelve Angry Men - 4.5/5 (Superb)
5. Star Wars ANH - 2/5 (eh, not really a fan of the Star Wars movies)
4. Pleasentville - 4/5 (Glad to see this gem on a top 10 list. It's one of the most overlooked films of the 90's IMO, the art direction in the movie is fantastic.)
3. Sleepers - 3.5/5 (Need to see again, but it was good from what I remember)
2. Casino - 4/5 (I much prefer Goodfellas, but this is also excellent.)
1. Cruel Intentions - 3/5 (Not great by any stretch, but it's one of my top guilty pleasures.)

1. Fisher King. A modern myth on the theme of Fate and Atonement, built on a universally valid symbolism. - A film Bible in it's all own right. And it's eternal shame Jeff Bridges never got an Oscar for it.
2. Fearless. A profound, intensely engaging movie reflecting the polarity of the Angelic and the Human, of the Male and the Female, of Yin and Yang, of Life and Death. Goreckis 3d symphony gives the music of the unforgettable end.
3. Smilla's Sense Of Snow. The perfect woman, the perfect human, the perfect beauty. Julia Ormond as the tough and tremendously intelligent Danish / Inuit heroine Smilla Jaspersen - probably the very last actress to consider for the role - makes the apex of her career, and for once, the film greatly beats the book on which it's based.
4. Falling Down. The drama of a self-righteous man not knowing moderation. Genial play by Michael Douglas in the role of his life. This movie, with all it's nuances and subtleties, is possibly most the intelligent one I have ever seen - and, from start to end it's all perfect suspense, not a dead second. - Terrific supporting play by Robert Duvall and Barbara Hershey.
5. Deer Hunter. The ultimate film about courage and loyalty. Marvellous interplay De Niro / Walken.
6. The Craft. Smart, entertaining and subtly satirical about four misadapted school girls seeking compensation for heir miseries in Occultism - with just a little too much of success... and Fairuza Balk just exploding with talent and inspiration.
7. Heat. The ultimate action move and the duel of the Supermen: De Niro Vs Pacino. - That looong traffic jammed street shootout is Cinema History.
8. Yojimbo. No one can beat Toshiro Mifune as the ultimate loner hero. Kurozawa's expressionistic masterpiece of the 60-ies.
9. Rosemary's Baby. Polanski's eerie Satanist masterpiece all up to the sensational end.
10. The Shining. A study in murderous insanity. IMO Kubrick's best and the ultimate horror movie. - Jack Nicholson at his top capacity (an that means a good deal!) - and big-eyed Shelley Duvall just perfect as the frightened wife pulling herself together and in the end mastering the situation.
