Will Robin be back? Do we want him back? If so, will it be Chris O'Donnell? If not him, then who?

He wonŽt be back because this new movie is about the early years of Batman, if not year one...

And if the carachter of Robin appears on another sequel I think thereŽs no way Chris OŽDonnell could play him, he might have the same age of Christian Bale.

They would go with a kid-looking (-18) actor

Agreed. He should go out on his own for the next sequel.

You never know. This is the next Batman flick, and everyone likes Batman...I'm pretty positive that when this comes out that the ticket sales will sky rocket, which means...ding, ding, ding! sequel! anyway, i don't think Robin should be in the next one. But if they do decide to bring Robin in a few movies later (if they decide to go that far) I think Edward Furlong would play a good young Dick Grayson.

Not the annoying kid from T2!

He might've been kind of annoying in T2, but he was excellent in American History X and was great in Detroit Rock City...but then again he's such a coke fiend he'd probably be too busy in rehab to be in a Batman flick.

I think Orlando Bloom could be a half decent Robin.

If it's to be done, I think you've got to go the under-18 route. Robin's a kid. Chris O'Donnell was not a good choice.

I'm sure there's some unknown child actor/teenage actor out there who's more than capable of filling the role.

I'm pretty sure I hated O'donnel as Robin.

Yep, I did. I think that if they're going to have a new Robin, just like they've gone through a shitload of Batmen, then The Rain Dog called it on the nose. Orlando Bloom would be an excellent choice for Robin, better yet Nightwing.

Although, I never minded Chris O'Donnel as Robin, I don't expect him to appear in a regular sequel to "B&R." I have a good feeling that the upcoming "Batman" prequel will do good and inspire a regular sequel, and when it happens, I expect that it would be set a few years later and that Dick Gracen would have already moved on as Robin/Nightwing. I would not mind a Nightwing cameo, though. I must ask, why do so many people hate O'Donnel as Robin?

Personally I did not have much of a problem with O'Donnell in Batman Forever, up until the point when Batman and Robin were raiding the Riddler's hideout, and Robin spurts the line"Holy Rusted Metal Batman!" At that point the entire series took a major turn for the worse, and it set upt he entire film "Batman and Robin" to be one big campy jokefest.

Sure, It's not technically O'Donnells fault that this happened, but that one line is what caused me to turn sour on the Batman franchise. Forever was not too bad, and B&R was horrible. I'm glad to see the new film will be taking a much more serious tone

I think Osment can play him. Maybe not in the next film, but when hes around 16 or 17 and not as innocent he can pull it off.

they should never include Robin (or batgirl) in another batman film, they were unneeded in the cartoony Forever and BaR, it doesnt help when they're played by crap actors
