Amazed - Lonestar.

The only girl I ever loved, it was our song. I cant even listen to it now. If it comes on I have to change the station because I start crying just thinking about how good my life was when we were together and how much we loved each other. And then I remember how she cheated on me, and that makes me even sadder.

Thats the only one for me.

"That's my job" by Conway Twitty.

When I hear the song, it reminds me of the innocence of my childhood, and the things that my father has done for me in helping me throughout my life. Also many of the fights my father and I have gotten into throughout my teenage years, as well as reminding me of mortality, and what things would be like if he were to pass away.

I'm not that huge of a country music fan, but this song is indeed touching, and very hard to listen to.

I woke up crying late at night
when I was very young.
I had dreamed my father
had passed away and gone.

My world revolved around him
I couldnt lay there anymore.
So I made my way down the mirrored hall
and tapped upon his door.

And I said "Daddy, I'm so afraid
how will I go on with you gone that way?
Don't wanna cry anymore
so may I stay with you?"

And he said "That's my job,
that's what I do.
Everything I do is because of you,
To keep you safe with me.
That's my job you see."

Later we barely got along
this teenage boy and he.
Most of the fights it seems
were over different dreams,
we each held for me.

He wanted knowledge and learning.
I wanted to fly out west.
Said, "I could make it out there
if I just had the fare.
I got half, will you loan me the rest?"

And I said "Daddy, I'm so afraid,
there's no guarantee in the plans
I've made and if I should fail,
who will pay my way back home?"

And he said "That's my job
that's what I do.
Everything I do is because of you
to keep you safe with me.
That's my job you see."

Every person carves his spot
and fills the hole with light.
And I pray someday I might
light as bright as he.

Woke up early one bright fall day
to spread the tragic news.
After all my travel, I settled down
within a mile or two.

I make my living with words and rhyme
and all this tragedy
Should go into my head and out instead
as bits of poetry.

But I say "Daddy, I'm so afraid,
how will I go on with you gone this way?
How can I come up with a song to say
I love you?"

That's my job, That's what I do
Everything I do is because of you
to keep you safe with me.
That's my job you see.
Everything I do is because of you
to keep you safe with me.

Music can be comforting at times. When your sad, certain songs can make you feel like someone finally understands what your going through.

But it can also help you feel better when your feeling sad. :D

Basically half of Pink Floyd's THE FINAL CUT
Southampton Dock
The Gunner's Dream
Two Suns in the Sunset
The Final Cut (the fucking sax solos kill me)

Goodbye Love - Rent
But it's only sad if you know all that's going on up to that point. And besides, I cannot stress enough my complete, total, and utter infatuation with (Daphne Rubin-Vega) Mimi's voice. That voice turns me on like the lightswitch to Batman's Distress Signal!

Alot of Evanescence songs really hit me because they really describe what ive been going through lately

"Forever Gone, Forever You" by Evanescence

I wanted you to be with me
For so long I don't even know why now
But now that I've given up on you
Defiantly you see me

Walking away I see the pain
You put me through
Lost in your game to change the same
Forever gone, forever you

There's something very wrong about this
I think you knew all along somehow
You'll only take me to change my mind
Lonely, broken, and defeated

So far away I see the truth
I see through you
Now that I know the way you play
I don't want to

Walking away I see the pain
You put me through
Lost in your game to change the same
Forever gone, forever you
