I'm usually wearing a concert t-shirt or some other heavy metal paraphenalia. People automatically know that I love Ozzy and metal from my Ozzy Osbourne tattoo on my left shoulder. I used to have long hair but I shaved it off because it was getting annoying.

If my dress sense reflected my taste in music i'd be one mixed up looking motherfucker. I like a little bit of everything. People generally just look at me and figure i'm into weird shit. Usually they are right. :D

I think there was only one period in my life where what I wore reflected my taste in music, and that was during the grunge era. That might be because I was a poor college student during the grunge days though...the grungy look was pretty much the same as the "poor college student" look. :D
Other than that, no. I'm into all kinds of music, ranging from classic rock to dance music, I think I'd look a mess if I tried to combine these fashions. I just usually wear whatever's comfortable (jeans, t-shirt, sweatshirt), I've always been much more into comfort than into style.

Erm...I haven't a clue actually.
Here's what I've been wearing today...and what I'm wearing RIGHT NOW (ooh er, saucy), aside from the jacket...although I shall be wearing that in a moment when I pop to the shop for a packet of trusty Marlboro lights.

If 75% of my clothes being from a thrift store reflect my taste in music, then I guess so.

I used to frequent a few 'Charidee'/thrift shops myself.
Second-hand threads can be fabulous (I paid a shiny new £1 for a kickarse coat last year)...but the palaver of SEARCHING through rail upon rail and getting physical with coffin-dodger's - in a purely violent manner - over some mangy old scarf can be a complete pain in the arse.
The oldies are the worst...crinkly ninja-types...usually found floating about the Lights Alive/Charles & Diana memorabilia section.
Do Mills & Boons books go to Oxfam to die?

Most of that made me chuckle.
"crinkly ninja types"
Priceless!!!
The number of times i've almost been moved to inflict varying degrees of physical harm on some old codger...

I normally wear dress shoes, black jeans or pants and a nice button down shirt or a T-shirt. Sometimes... very preppy even. :)
The music I listen to is mostly classic rock and I also listen to a lot of the old crooners like Sinatra & Crosby. Classical & Jazz are also two genres I often listen to, so I think my clothes do reflect my musical tastes to a certain degree.
PS: I don't wear shorts!:D

Being a hip hop fan I should be wearing Timberland boots, baggy jeans and a hoody.
I usually wear a jeans (the faded, dirty kind) and a T-Shirt of some sort and my trusty pair of Adidas trainers (Run DMC style ones). I do look like a indie hip hop fan so maybe it is accurate?
Most of the time I have to wear a shirt and tie though! :(
Pretty anonymous really.

I'm just usually wearing a t-shirt of some sort, maybe even a fleece jacket. Khakis and jeans are fine with me, and I really don't like wearing shorts. I have two pairs of shoes, DVS and some dirty Adidas...
I could care less about clothes. If it feels good, it's fine by me!!

Nah, not me. I never wear jeans, but always parallel leg trousers (they make my trainers look tiny), and my t-shirts are always retro-expensive (Diesel, Paul Smith, Replay or Blood & Glitter etc) or unabashedly cheap knock-offs from the charity shops in and around Edinburgh city-centre (it's not uncommon for me to buy t-shirts for less than a £0.50). The only request I have from my clothes is that they do not look 'modern'. The t-shirts I own include AC-DC, Thin Lizzy, Led Zeppelin (none of whom I listen to) and more current bands like Kings Of Leon and Primal Scream. My attire represents a strange phenomenon in clothing that I have picked up from most bands on MTV2 - namely, that old bands t-shirts are cool, even if their music is not my bag. Now, to apply that weird affectation to my taste in music, I listen to a lot of quiet acoustic bands and old soul singers, with a tendency to like any variations of rock music that rips off old Stooges and MC5 records (without being either - 'cos I don't like them). If you knew me, you would know that I am a big fan of current bands who sound like old bands, and anything with a catchy melody. I look, however, like a gay member of The Ramones - the one they never spoke about because 'he dressed too nice'.

I wear brown glasses, very artistic looking...and, the following is a fairly normal outfit(minus most of the brand names). What do you guys think? Does it reflect me tastes?

I mostly listen to sad, depressing music, but I don't dress like I'm sad and depressed, so thats a big negative.

Nah. I'm mostly into punk, but I am definately not down with the punk "look". I think its pretty hideous most of the time. The closest I get is wearing a Bad Religion tshirt once in a while with my jeans. I also spike my hair quite often, but thats mostly just cuz i hate having hair just laying on my forehead :)

I've been told I look like Stephen Malkmus... (man on the avatar, look to your left ladies and gentlemen)... but that was only after I shoved the picture in front of someone and said "don't I look like Stephen Malkmus?" I listen to Pavement.
I've been also told I look like Hugh Grant, but he doesn't release any music, so that's not relevant... although he did play guitar (did he sing?) in About a Boy.

hmmm.... im a bald dude.. with a goatee... have 3 ear piercings (2 in left 1 in right.. 1 in my left is a plug though (a hole that you can see right through). Have a tattoo on my right shoulder of the grim reaper playing a Bass. I think ppl might get that i jam to heavy metal! but they pry wouldnt get that i jam to alot of other stuff also! (ppl say i look like Stone Cold... so thats pretty sweet ass)
BUT... i dont dress different! I shop at Old navy and Aeropostale/ American Eagle for clothes! You wont catch me dead in a fuckin Abercrombie And Gay i mean Fitch store. I used to wear a chain with my wallet.. but after the 23rd time getting it caught on a desk, i decided fuck it! I also wear a necklace (non of that shell around the neck shit though) and ankle socks with my Nike's.

I do, and i hat it.....
I usually wear a band shirt but not always, it's usually one of my ataris ones cuz i love them in a non sexual way.... and my jeans that are baggy and go past my knees and then skate shoes even though i dot skate i just like the look of em.... oh yeah and my couple of black wristbands.
People usually look at me and think "oh he's just another try hard punk kid" and i hate that cuz i never once said i was a punk, although i do cal myself an emo kid as a joke.... cuz i dont act talk, or even shower like a punk would(n't) and i dont even like punks, they piss me off with their "I'm hardcore" attitude...

Not usually. My hair does, though. I have quite the shag on me right now. I do have a few pairs of tight jeans, reflecting the '80s music I listen to maybe. I'm usually very plain. Black t-shirt, jeans, and a nice pair of black dress shoes.

I wear outrageous Hawaiian shirts over single-colored shirts that usually don't match...Would that be the look of a Talking Heads fan?
My hair does....long, flowing hippie hair.

No, because what I wear would have to reflect the fact I listen to some disposeable, manufactured pop, Beethoven, "I hate my life!" type music, and whatever's on the radio. Since I only have about 2 pairs of jeans, and about 6 different shirts, I'd have difficulty in expressing it

OK, I'll let you guys decide (this is my current outfit)
Extremely tight jeans
Dress shoes
Grey sweatshirt w/ about 40 patches (mostly music ones)
Leather jacket w/ various buttons (again, mostly music)
My hair is short everywhere except for the front, where I have bangs down to my chin. Both ears are pierced with plugs in them, my left ear has a safety pin in the top, and I have a nose ring.
I have about 23 tattoos, most on my arms, and I also have a bandanna tied around my neck. I also have a FREE CHARLES MANSON tattoo just under my belly button.
I'm a pretty guy. ;)
I like to tell people I'm a Buddhist monk when they ask if I listen to punk. Hey, that rhymed.
BUT, I don't dress and live the way I do just because of the music I listen to, I dress this way because I'm not afraid to express myself and the way I think. So there.
