I woulda send Madonna, and I still think she could do a great Bond theme song, but she kinda screwed it up with DIE ANOTHER DAY. Too bad.

Other than that...Evanescence. Yeah. I'd go with 'em. Or Robbie Williams. Or Sting, Eric Clapton, Remy Shand. Maybe Isaac Hayes? :)

I'd say EVANESCENCE too. Or maybe ROBBIE WILLIAMS.

After hearing the Chrismas single that is PROPER CRIMBO, I would love to see Avid Merrion do a song for one of the many Bond spoofs. Maybe the next Johnny English?

ummmm Tom already has. I believe it was "Thunderball". But if Tom does get asked back, he will join ranks w/ Shirley Bassey (Diamonds Are Forever & Moonraker)

Shirley Bassey was the best. The Remixs to Diamonds Are Forever are great!

Good call on Evanescence, Eric Clapton, and Isaac Hayes, Logan. To that I'll have to add:

Rob Zombie
Aerosmith
U2 (even though they wrote "Goldeneye")

Or, if you're going for an instrumental Bond theme, ala OHMSS:
Yoko Kanno (the composer of the music in Cowboy Bebop, for a big band-style sound)
Juno Reactor (for a techno-laced theme)

It's too bad Freddie Mercury is dead, 'cause then Queen could make the BEST FUCKING BOND THEME EVER.

Dave Grohl is obsessed with Queen so maybe Foo Fighters could do a decent Queen-like theme or an all out wicked rock theme for a Bond flick.

Otherwise, I'd have to say Queens Of the Stone Age kick out a heavy balls to wall Bond theme,, oh yeah, anything would beat Madonna's Die Another Day...

Oh wait, how about a moody and slow theme by Matthew Good? I'd like that.

For better or worse, Elton John has stated that he would love to do a Bond theme song (saying he could do it better than Madonna...) I think it might be an interesting match. Personally I would like to hear Moby do an instrumental Bond theme or Possibly No Doubt. I was kind of hoping they would bring back Shirley Bassey for Die Another Day. Instead we got Madonna's ill-conceived theme.

Oh INXS is still around, it just has a different front man and yes, he is quite good. His name is Jon Stevens.

I know they've written one before, but U2 could perform a sweet theme.

Coldplay is a band to use down the road a bit.
