This is the latest casting rumor. I'm all for it personally. More great news.

I personally can't see it.

If they're not careful, they'll get such iconic actors that the actors personas will overshadow the characters they're playing.

If that pans out, I'll literally jump for joy. Eastwood in a Nolan film, can it get much better than that?

Well, it's already been denied. Eastwood is quoted as saying "I like adventure films. I like a good adventure film as much as the next guy. But, it's not for me." (At http://filmforce.ign.com/batman/articles/442/442458p1.html?fromint=1)

Well, so much for that.

Im reading conflicting reports on this - and both seem to be quoting Eastwood so go figure.

Yea, some reports are quoting him saying "I like adventure films. I like a good adventure film as much as the next guy. But, it's not for me." & "I'm too old to make comic books".

So i guess Eastwood isn't the Mayor :( That would have been friggin amazing.

Yeah Clint ain't gonna be in Batman 5. It would be totally kick ass if he was though.

I donīt think they wanted him for the Mayor, the story starts in Gotham but then moves on so it would be a small role, I think Eastwood was offered the role of Ras Al Ghul, the lead Villian, wich wouldīve been really cool, because the carachter is suppossed to be 400 years old but strong as a bull because of his Lazarus Pit. So I could totally picture Eastwood in that role.

I wouldnīt bet Eastwood is out of Batman, he probably said no with the awful "Batman and Robin" in mind.

You should always have hope

Eastwood as mayor? I dunno if the mayor should be able to kick more ass than Batman himself.

How could you try to have Batman be badass while in the presence of the "Man With No Name"??

Bale has some panache but come on. Eastwood's toenails are tougher than him.

What about Commissioner Gordon? I want the ol' brush-mustache Gordon from the comics.

Me too. But he's gotta be younger. Get me Kurt Russell or Dennis Quaid!

I think he is the one person for this role because he used to be a mayor.

I don't see Eastwood as the mayor, not at all.
