Top 5 of 2000... (so far)

I figured that this would be the perfect time to "wrap up" some of our most favorites of the year, right before the whole "quality movies" start coming out for Oscar time.

Needless to say, the year has been a little weak and therein, no need for a top 10 list...let's try 5 for now. /ubb/smile.gif

Though I thought Bale put forth a great peformance(maybe Oscar worthy), I thought that American Psycho was too complex and just went nowhere quickly.

So I guess that means we disagree Joblo. Though I have to admit I have only seen American Psycho and The Ninth Gate, both of which were good, but not great in my opinion.

I agree that this year hasn't been to good so far, but from what I've seen, this is what i came up with:

1. Gladiator
2. High Fidelity
3. Mission to Mars

I hvaen't seen many of the summer blockbuster films, I've been too lazy and I don't have a car at the moment
dieing to see The Cell, X-Men, The Patriot, The Perfect Storm etc.

Gladiator and Erin Brokovich did not impress me. Gladiator was way too long and not enough fighting scenes, although the fighting scenes were excellent. And Erin was similar to A Civil Action and it just didn't do it for me.

actually, number 5 needs to be changed from Perfect Storm to Shanghain Noon. The best comedy of the year and Owen Wilson kicks ass!
