I'm one of many Kansas City fans enjoying a great year in sports this year. The Royals spent a good portion of the year in first place in the AL Central Division, then got Coach of the Year and Rookie of the Year.
The Chiefs are in first plave in the AFC West, leading the NFL in the Win/Loss category, and are poised to be a major playoff contender.
Naturally, I'm proud of this, but I thought it might be a good time to start a new thread about sports towns! My home town is naturally my favorite. I have a lot of great memories when I was sixteen and watching the Royals win the World Series. Throughout the 90's the Chiefs were a great team, even winning the AFC West and making so far as to the AFC Championship against the Bills.
SO tell me all about your favorite sports town...what (in your opinion) is the best sports town in America and why? There are great teams from all over. Let's hear their stories. :cool:
