---------------

The original sequel was much better than the first film in my opinion, but I would rather rent the extended version than see it in theaters. I am saving my money for the third and final movie, THE RETURN OF THE KING, which is released in about a week and a half.

I have it on DVD, and I don't think the pace would work for theaters, so my ass'll say no, I won't see it. I do think it's an improvement over the theatrical cut of the 2nd movie

Well I just saw FOTR EE in the theater today and can't wait for this weekend to go see TTT EE.

I have yet to see it as I knew it would be in the theaters again.

And I have not bought the DVD yet, I had to downgrade to a 13 inch tv so watching movies is almost a waste of time!

I must say I think I did better in the theater this time than with any previous viewing of FOTR or TTT, no sore ass or exploding bladder!

Maybe I can make it two for two.

Wish me luck.

Well I saw the TTT EE edition in the theaters today and I must say what an improvement!

It was a much better movie, but with so much story to tell longer is better in my opinion so it could only get better.

But some of the beefs I had with TTT originally were explained and basically fixed by this version.

Showing the Trees taking care of the majority of the orcs was a great addition and one I sorely missed in the first version.

Almost all of the characters got fleshed out even more especially Gimli and Legolas.

In the shorter version there is no connection between the horse that finds Aragorn, now we know it was the horse he released.

Details like this make all the missing connections come together.

I was also glad to see that they cut all the dialouge from the reunion scene between Aragorn and Eowyn after the battle of Helms Deep.

And I did not find the pacing slow at all.

Again PJ breaks the mold when it comes to adding scenes or lets say what most expect to see from a Directors Cut or alternate cut.

Most Directors cuts I have seen in the past add nothing worth seeing.

But I felt just about everything that was added was a smart move and made the film better as a whole.

And I am glad I was able to see it on the big screen.
