View Full Version : COLOUR question

There are two colours in this message board when showing the posts. One of them is white.
But
WHAT THE HELL IS THE OTHER COLOUR????
I ask this because I find a good idea to post spoilers hidden by the colour of the post's window... but right now you can only do it when the post has a white background, since we don't know the other colour's name. So, I DEMAND to know what's the other colour's name!!!
What's it? Diarreic brown? Apple Pie? Dirty Screen? WHATTT?
PS: BTW, Jo, I think it would be a good idea if you could find some program to allow us to put spoilers in a black box, that only lets the message to be visible if you highlight it. I know it's available in RottenTomatoes, so maybe you can get it and end all the spoilers issue.

I don't know the specific name for the color but the computer code for it is #e0dcc6. See below for an example
this color = #e0dcc6

You're the best, ed!
I suggest to all the schmoes that visit this thread that you start using these colour codes for posting your spoilerific comments. That way, we'll avoid one of the most potentially annoying things on every board.
Who's with me?

Good job edonline for finding that color...maybe people will use the color system more often.

Thanks. It was just a matter of looking at the source code for the webpage and then looking to see what color was used for the background. Usually it's just a standard color name but in this case it might some off-hued version of greyish-blue.

Exactly how do you do that?
Great! Now I can add nasty insults within my posts and without the mods finding out! Yay.

On your internet browser, there's usually an option on the menu that says something like "View Source". If you're using Outlook, on the menu bar, go to View, then click Source and it will give you the HTML formatting for the webpage. Then it's just a matter of scanning the formatting for whatever your looking. In this case, I just looked for the part which described the post/text box and looked for the background color.

Have you ever noticed that Jesus can be used as a scapegoat? If someone's mad at you for any particular reason, just tell them, "Jesus made me do it." Who's gonna doubt that? I know I wouldn't wanna risk not believing it. What if it was really Jesus? I imagine he'd be mighty pissed. "Look, why would Sugar lie, huh? He's a good clean boy, though he probably shouldn't be hangin' around near that Lynn freak or some other guy. Yeah, I made him do it. And you didn't trust me? Jesus? I mean if ya can't trust Jesus, who can ya trust?", he might say...
You'd be pretty embarassed and ashamed if that happened to you, wouldn't you? Of course you would. If Jesus is mad at you, then you've got problems...
I guess what I'm really trying to say is, watch out for those Canadians...
