Yeah, baby. Scotland's premiere music festival, T In The Park, which was attended by myself and Psychocandy this year, has already had the main headliner confirmed for this coming June - and it is none other than the Thin White Duke himself, David Bowie. After headliners REM played this year, I presumed that we were blessed with a musical festival that could now attract the top names in music, but to coup David Bowie - who recently played Glasgow - has got to be the best news I have heard in a long, long time. At his recent gig, Bowie threw off the constraints of playing his vast back catalogue and finally started to revel in his earlier work - playing Under Pressure, Oh! You Pretty Things and songs from the legendary Ziggy Stardust. If this the kind of show he brings to the festival, I know this will be a night to pass into folklore. The great thing about this, though, is not just the presence of Bowie, but the bands who will be desperate to play the festival because of his attendance - and for me to create a festival wish-list of bands is now my number one daydream.

Just wanted to gloat. My ticket was ordered yesterday.

In answer to the questions: around 100,000 are anticipated for the event and the tickets are £65 for two days on the early bird, £70 if you book after December.

I doubt I could be more excited for the Summer if I tried. :D
