What's the other one with Tippi Hedron called...where she is a secretary or something that goes to different towns imbeselling/stealing $$$??? Is it Vertigo or no? She washes out black hair dye in teh beginning of the movie...

everybody always leaves out "Frenzy" with Jon Finch, definitely some of Hitch's greatest moments...

The only one of his that I have seen and did not like was Juno and the Paycock (5/10). It was very off and not interesting. THe acting was below par too. And yes, this movie is very very old and no one really knows about it.

Hitcock is one of the best directors ever. I'm talking like the third best director (under Kubrick and Scorsese of course)

This is an easy one for me!! Thanks Cow!

1. Vertigo (because of the music)
2. North By Northwest (because it was way ahead of it's time)
3. Marnie (because of Sean Connery)
4. Dial M for Murder (Grace Kelly is the perfect victim there)
5. Rope (because of it's few shots)

And just to ennoy some people; I did NOT like Psycho

The top three are easy, the rest are all equally compelling, but just a bit short of the genius he used in these three.

1. North By Northwest- I am not positive, but I don't recall watching a movie with a better plot from start to finish.

2. Rear Window- The paranoia that Jimmy Stewart displays while staying focused on his original longshot of a hunch is really awesome. If you watch his facial expressions, even while talking about other things with Grace Kelly, the maid and the cop, he looks like a man who's distressed because his gut feeling tells him that he knows what others don't believe.

3. Rope - It starts with the two plotting over their friend's soon to be coffin, and the camera never leaves the room. All the intensity, intrigue and suspense took place without calling cut. Hitchcock understood the plot meant more to viewers than the cinematography.
