Suggestion: Box Office Forum

I'm not sure if I'm the only one who wants this, but I think it would be really cool to start a Box Office Forum for predictions and such. It's not up to me, but it is a suggestion.

What does everyone else think?

Not a bad idea, I suppose. But I don't think it warrants it's own forum.

I make a point of reading the reports an they're always interesting.

But I doubt they'd necessitate an entire forum.. conversations would get dull realllly quickly.

i dont tend to read box office reports. i do find it quite dull for some reason...to be honest, i dont really care how a film is doing financially. with me, its all about the personal enjoyment. or lack of, if we are talking timeline...

In fact, I think it would be a good idea to have just two big threads: one for predictions and one for actuals. Or just one big thread including both. And they should be sticky.

I actually think things are fine now the way they are. There's not enough B.O. threads to warrant its own forum.

Most "new forum" suggestions are decent ideas coming from an obvious LOVE of that specific area of the movie industry that the poster or a few other schmoes rabidly adore, but the truth is that, as pointed out in our SITE SUGGESTIONS/QUESTION FAQ THREAD (http://www.joblo.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=41015), "At this point in time, we believe that we have enough forums to satisfy our board members and ourselves."

We simply do not need any more forums at this point. Furthermore, having run this board for over three years now, we pretty much know what topics folks enjoy ENOUGH to dedicate a whole forum to, so whatever we have now, is likely to be enough for quite some time (or until the board hits 20,000 members and all shit breaks loose) There's no need to overload our board with forums on every single topic in the industry, especially since you can discuss many of them already in our GENERAL MOVIE TALK forum, which still allows for decent daily conversation without topics flying into page 3 by the end of the day.

Please...for now...let's agree on a moratorium on all NEW FORUM SUGGESTIONS. Thanks.
