View Full Version : A rant about FOX.

O.K, King of the Hill has just started. But then I hear a voice that says:
"Due to the length of today's football game, we join King of the Hill already in progress."
And the episode is almost over. But here's the part that really pisses me off. FOX Sports was showing their typical Sunday Night Football game. It was the one they were intending to show. After the game ended, they cut to another fucking game to fill up the airtime! And since it took forever for that game to end, I missed most of King of the Hill.
Here's a message to FOX, if you're going to show a football game, only show the one you wanted to show! Did it say on my satellite guide "Green Bay v.s San Diego"? Nope. But there are a lot of people who sit on their asses eating pork rinds who want more football. And because of that, FOX gives them more football. And I miss most of King of the Hill as a result.
Friggin' idiots.

I love football, but I can understand your rant.
They should start the shows after the game, and at 2:37 A.M. when everything is finally caught up, an announcer should say "We bring you to this infomercial, already in progress."

ACTUALLY... fox has a contract with the NFL that says they have to do that. I dont know tjhe full details of it, but i do know about that contract existence!
But i do agree that the cutting out an entire ep of a all new show is very annoying!

All of you are wrong.
They both suck.
In all my heart, I have Fox on my shitlist. Constant cancelling of quality shows, way too many commercials, butchered TV programs, the works.

Down here in the Southwest everything is preempted.
And that's funny because THAT pisses me off because it throws my DVR box off any I end up with a recording on like the end of one show and the start of another.
Doesn't anyone else get it pre-emted?

Football should be played on a Saturday, when nothing good on T.V. is on.

Football is the highest form of entertainment on television. Everything else is secondary.
Deal with it! :D

What's college football? :D
No, I was talking about the NFL. I know sometimes, like today, they do play games on Saturday, but that's when ALL games should be played.

C'mon now, I like King Of The Hill as much as the next guy, probably more, but they aren't going to pre-empt a football game to bring you the start of KOTH. I'm sure you'll get another chance to see it, as they show reruns about 10 times a day of KOTH. You'll only see a football game once. Suddenly I have the cravings for pork rinds though.:D
Anybody who is unaware read this article about the infamous "Heidi Game". Maybe you'll have a different perspective.

I hate when anyone does this. We have the right to see our favorite shows. Although I dont watch King of the hill, its the principle of the thing :D
