Metallica - Enter Sandman
Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit
Guns N' Roses - Welcome To The Jungle
Black Sabbath - Iron Man
I used to love these songs, but I hate them now because I am sick of hearing them so much. What songs would you list?

When I seen The Darkness at T In The Park and they sang 'I Believe In A Thing Called Love' I knew it would be a hit single and I was glad when it became a smash. Now, if I ever have to hear it again, I will volunteer myself as the person responsible for feeding Ozzy his mashed-up Weetabix.
It has truly become the most overplayed song EVER.

I gotta agree with Reigh. The Darkness are starting to become overplayed, even though they're not quite popular in America yet.

I'd like to nominate "Stacy's Mom". It was kind of a groovy song, until it started playing constantly night and day.
I think there would be less "flash-in-the-pan" artists if DJ's knew how to appropriately schedule songs. Hit or no, they become less tolerable as they become played more frequently.

No matter how good of a song a single is, I'm completely sick of it if it gets as much over exposure as seven nature army. The strange thing is, I'm still not sick of this song.

Come On Eileen - Dexy's Midnight Runners
Geno is a far better tune...but it's obvious that Come On Eileen is/was actually a top-notch little number...shame it haunts every shindig I've EVER had the misfortune to attend.
Freak Like Me - Sugababes
Exquisite pop tune, completely spoiled by over-exposure.

It's a pity that Radiohead's 'Creep' is one of the songs that should be on this list. But it is. And deserves to be here. Still love them, though.

Worst song.
EVER.
Undoubtedly the soundtrack if I'm condemned to Hell will be this and all the other tunes from that awful year of 1983.

It doesn't hurt as much w/o the visuals and the atonal violin sawing in the background.
I actually kind of like the uptempo ska version that Save Ferris does, so it ain't the song.

Today driving around in my car they had "Hey ya" from Outkast playing on 3 different radio stations at the same time. I've gotten so sick of this damn song due to being over played it's a shame since I use to enjoy it a good deal.

Good call. I'd have to vote for 'Hey Ya' by Outkast and 'Here without You' by 3 Doors Down.
I cant turn on my radio without hearing one or the other. Dead serious, the past week, every single time I've turned on the radio, 'Here without You' is either the first or the second song I hear while its on.
It's good. But not that good.

So couldn't agree about that damn song more!!! I adore 80's music, but this song.... *shudders* One day someone's going to have to sit me down and slowly go over why this song was such a hit, 'cause I just don't get it...
As for right now.... basically anything by Coldplay. I think they're overrated to begin with, but they're okay, and they have had a few good releases (Clocks was one), but they've all been killed by the overhype and the overplay...

Oooooo, how can we forget the masterpiece song ruined by radio airplay, the remarkable "Who Let the Dogs Out" by Baha Men?

You guys speak true, big-big.
I don't listen to the radio at all beacuse I know that #1, I'm going to hate at least 80% of the new music being shit outta radio stations, and #2 the songs that I would think are decent, or even GOOD will be overplayed so much that I would never again want to listen to it.

Well, speaking as a Canadian, anything Nickleback pus out is automatically played so much as to make your ears bleed. I actually like the band, but after hearing them every hour on the hour on every friggin staion out there, they have made my hit list (and that's not a good thing!)
Also, the song "Boys of Summer" by The Ataris. I really liked this cover when it first came out, but again, overplayed and now I turn the station whenever it comes on
