James Franco plays Campbell's boyfriend and one of the few characters not involved in the world of dance.

I like Neve Campbell and James Franco, but this looks bland and boring. I highly doubt that I'll be seeing this.

No thanks. Although I think Malcolm McDowell is terrific actor, and may just be worth the price of admission. The movie sounds dreadfully boring, and Robert Altman's films are incredibly far from my liking.

I'm not into ballet, but that doesn't mean I won't see the movie. I really like Neve Campbell, so I'll be checking it out for her. It won't go wide enough, but it's definitely a rental. It sounds pretty decent.

I love Neve Campbell, and I'll see any movie she's in. But The Company actually sounds and looks pretty good. The plot reminds me of All That Jazz, which I didn't like. The trailer looked nice. I like the cast and I also really like Robert Altman. He's a wonderful director, although some of his movies are pretty over rated. I will see this movie no matter what.

It's fucking Robert Altman, of course I'm going to see it. Ebert and Roeper liked it too.

I'm not into Altman that much. While he's made a good film, the rest were overrated and tiring. Plus, ballet isn't my cup o' tea.

I agree , Altman's films generally don't work on the big screen , they are more suitable as an at home , intimate experience .

They're not big spectacles that seek to get everyone excited , mainly they are insightful character studies of flawed individuals , and that's what i like about his films , they are personal without being manipulative , condescending or throwing in some chessy ass hollywood moralistic lessons .

To me , that's a breath of fresh cinematic air , because in this age of bloated narrative nonsense , Altman hasn't changed one bit , and he's not looking to please anyone , like ROTK , Elf , Pirates , and some other recent cheesefests , he's a throwback to a time when characters drove the story , and i'm not talking about the larger than life , over the top kind , but the subtle , realistic ones .

I'm not saying the film will be great , but , thank god there is still a director that still hasn't jumped on the popularity bandwagon and who refuses to compromise his vision .

Not every film he makes is great , but as long as he keeps making them , i'll keep watching them , and be thankful .

Oh yeah , i don't know why some people hate Gosford Park . I heard so amny say it's pretentious . Hold on , the majority of the characters were supposed to be pretentious and snobby , some of them were rich aristocrats , weren't they ? I thought it was brilliant , and i loved the fact that there were no stars or heroes , no one took center stage , they were just cogs in the wheel .
